2023 African Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2023 African Artistic Gymnastics Championships was the 17th iteration of the event. It took place on 26–27 May in Pretoria, South Africa. The competition served as qualification for the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2023 World Championships. Medal winners Medal table Combined Men Women World Championships qualification The top men's team and women's team qualified a full team to the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2023 World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. In women's artistic gymnastics, South Africa qualified a full team. Additionally, Kaylia Nemour (Algeria), Jana Abdelsalam (Egypt), Sandra Elsadek (Egypt), and Lahna Salem (Algeria) earned individual berths. In men's artistic gymnastics, Egypt qualified a full team. In addition, Hillal Metidji (Algeria) and Hamza Hossaini (Morocco) earned individual berths. References

Nancy Taman
Nancy Mohamed Ali Taman (born 15 November 1994; Alexandria, Egypt) is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. Taman earned two gold medals in the 2018 Mediterranean Games and the 2019 African Games and won a silver medal in the 2015 African Games. Gymnastics career Taman started her gymnastics career in 1998 at the age of four, she made her international debut at the Gymnix International competition in 2007 as a member of the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation. Jana Mahmoud
Jana Hani Ismail Mahmoud ( ar, جنى محمود; born 17 August 2004) is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. She won the all-around title at the 2024 African Championships and qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games. She is a two-time African champion on the floor exercise (2022, 2024) and is the 2022 African vault champion. She helped the Egyptian team win the team titles at the 2022 and 2024 African Championships. Early life Mahmoud was born in Giza in 2004. Her older brother Seifaldeen Ismael has represented Egypt internationally in parkour and trampoline gymnastics, including at the 2022 Parkour World Championships. Jana Abdelsalam ( ar, جانا عبد السلام, born 3 January 2006) is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the team who won gold at the 2022 African Championships. Personal life Abdelsalam was born in Cairo in 2006. Caitlin Aileen Rooskrantz (born 5 November 2001) is a South African artistic gymnast who competed at the 2020 Olympic Games. She won the uneven bars competitions at the 2018 African Artistic Gymnastics Championships, the 2019 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series event in Szombathely and the 2022 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series event in Cairo. Shante Carver (born February 12, 1971) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. Naveen Natascha Daries (born 29 October 2001) is a South African artistic gymnast who represented her country at the 2017, 2018 and 2019 World Championships, as well as the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
