2022–23 Japan Figure Skating Championships
The 2022–23 Japan Figure Skating Championships were held in Kadoma, Osaka on December 21–25, 2022. It was the 91st edition of the event. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. The results were part of the Japanese selection criteria for the 2023 Four Continents Championships and the 2023 World Championships. Qualifying Competitors either qualified at regional and sectional competitions, held from September to November 2022, or earned a bye. 2023 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2023 World Figure Skating Championships will be held in Saitama, Japan from March 20–26, 2023. The competition will determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2024 World Championships. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements Skaters will be eligible for the 2023 World Championships if they turned 15 years of age before July 1, 2022, and if they met the minimum technical elements score requirements. The ISU accepts scores if they were obtained at senior-level ISU-recognized international competitions during the ongoing season at least 21 days before the first official practice day of the championships or during the preceding season. The 2023 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships took place at the Broadmoor World Arena from February 7–12, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the United States. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. Nations from non-European countries could send 3 entries at most for every discipline. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements The competition was open to skaters from all non-European member nations of the International Skating Union.
