2021–22 Vegas Golden Knights Season
The 2021–22 Vegas Golden Knights season was the fifth season for the National Hockey League franchise that started playing in the 2017–18 season. Despite high expectations entering the season, the Golden Knights missed the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, as they were eliminated from playoff contention following a 4–3 shootout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on April 27, 2022. Pacific Division (NHL)
The National Hockey League's Pacific Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference in a league realignment. It is also one of the two successors of the Smythe Division (the other one was the Northwest Division), though of the current teams, only the Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights did not play in the Smythe Division. Due to subsequent realignments, three of the Pacific Division's original teams (the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks) left the division in 1998 but returned in 2013. The division is the only one in the NHL without any Original Six teams. Logan Thompson
Logan Thompson (born February 25, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played junior in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Brandon Wheat Kings. Playing career Junior, college, and minors Thompson began in bantam junior hockey with the Calgary Bisons, before moving up to the midget level with the CBHA Blackhawks and Calgary Buffaloes of the Alberta Midget Hockey League. He split the 2014–15 season between the Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League, appearing in 22 games for the former and 4 for the latter. Laurent Brossoit
Laurent Brossoit (born March 23, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). Brossoit was selected by the Calgary Flames in the sixth round, 164th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and played for the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets prior to joining the Golden Knights. He was born in Port Alberni, British Columbia, but grew up in Cloverdale, British Columbia. Playing career Amateur In 2008, Brossoit was chosen in the second round, 26th overall, of the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft by the Edmonton Oil Kings.
