2021–22 Chinese Basketball Association Season
The 2021–22 CBA season will be the 27th season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The regular season was reduced to 38 games for each team and was divided into three stages. The first stage, which was played in Zhuji, Zhejiang, began on 16 October 2021 and ended on 14 November 2021. The second stage, which is played in Changchun, Jilin Jilin (; alternately romanized as Kirin or Chilin) is one of the three provinces of Northeast China. Its capital and largest city is Changchun. Chinese Basketball Association
The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier professional men's basketball league in China. The league is commonly known by fans as the CBA, and this acronym is even used in Chinese on a regular basis. The CBA should not be confused with the National Basketball League (NBL), which is a professional minor league. There is also a Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). A few Chinese players who competed in the CBA in the early stages of their careers — including Wang Zhizhi, Mengke Bateer, Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue, and Zhou Qi — have also played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jilin Northeast Tigers
The Jilin Northeast Tigers () or Jilin Tonggang, Jilin Tonggang Northeast Tigers () or Jiutai Rural Commercial Bank are a professional basketball team based in Changchun, Jilin, China, which plays in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association. Li Nan (basketball)
Li Nan (, born September 25, 1974 in Harbin, Heilongjiang) is a former professional basketball player from China. Before his retirement in 2009, he played for the Bayi Rockets, a Chinese Basketball Association team based in Ningbo, Zhejiang. As a small forward, he is 1.98 m (6'6") tall and weighs 104 kg (230 pounds). Guo Shiqiang
Guo Shiqiang (, born 8 July 1975) is a former Chinese professional basketball player and current coach for the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association. He is the uncle of Guo Ailun. Playing career Guo started his professional career in 1993, and spent most of his career at the Liaoning Hunters, and was a longtime member of the Chinese national team, appearing with the team at the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, as well as the 2002 FIBA World Championship. He also helped the team win the gold medal at the ABC Championship 2003. Managerial career Guo announced his retirement in 2005 at the age of 30. Guangzhou Loong Lions
The Guangzhou Loong Lions () are a Chinese professional basketball team based in Guangzhou, Guangdong. They play in the Southern Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). History The team was founded in November 2000 as Shaanxi Gaitianli Kylins by the Xi'an Dongsheng Group. In August 2001, they won the "B" league championship, and were promoted to the CBA. In the 2004–05 season, the Shaanxi Kylins finished in fifth place in the North Division, and were out of the playoffs. In 2005–06, they finished sixth, and were once again out of the playoffs. The Dongguan Basketball Centre (), also referred as Bank of Dongguan Basketball Centre () for sponsorship reasons, is an indoor arena located in Dongguan, China. It is used mostly for basketball matches and concerts. Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association are the tenants. Dongguan Basketball Center opened on 31 August 2014.
