2021 Beijing Guoan F.C. Season
The 2021 season was Beijing Guoan F.C.'s 57th season in football competition and the club's 18th consecutive season in the Chinese Super League since the league's founding in the 2004. It was the team's 31st consecutive season in the top flight of Chinese football. It covered a period from 1 January 2021 to 4 January 2022. Summary Pre-season On 2 January, Toni Šunjić completed his transfer to Henan Jianye, the team he played for on loan after he was signed by Guoan in the summer of 2020. He did not cap for Guoan. On 6 January, Guoan announced Slaven Bilić, former manager of the Croatia national team, West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion as the team's new manager. Li Ming (; born 26 January 1971) is a Chinese football coach and a former international player. As a footballer, he played as a midfielder and spent his whole career with Dalian Wanda FC where he won eight league titles and three Chinese FA Cups. His international career saw him play for the Chinese national team gathering 86 international appearances between 1992 and 2004, scoring 8 goals. He represented his nation at four editions of the AFC Asian Cup, helping his team to a third-place finish in 1992, the quarter-finals in 1996, a fourth-place finish in 2000 and a second-place finish in 2004, which China hosted. Kim Min-jae ( ko, 김민재; born 15 November 1996) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Napoli and the South Korea national team. Bruno Génésio (born 1 September 1966) is a French football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current head coach of Ligue 1 club Rennes. Early life Génésio was born on 1 September 1966 in Lyon. Playing career Génésio is a youth exponent from Lyon.
