2020–21 La Liga
The 2020–21 La Liga season, also known as La Liga Santander due to sponsorship reasons, was the 90th since its establishment. The season began on 12 September 2020 and concluded on 23 May 2021. The fixtures were announced on 31 August 2020. Real Madrid were the defending champions, after winning a record 34th title in the previous season. Huesca, Cádiz and Elche joined as the promoted clubs from the 2019–20 Segunda División. They replaced Espanyol, Mallorca and Leganés, who were relegated to the 2020–21 Segunda División. Exceptionally, this season the five substitutions were maintained in a maximum of three rounds per team, adopted in May 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. 2020–21 Copa De La Reina De Fútbol
The 2020–21 Copa de la Reina de Fútbol was the 39th edition of the Spanish women's association football national cup, and was played between 21 April and 30 May 2021. Format changes Since the 2018–19 edition of the tournament, all 16 teams in the Primera División partook in the competition, with all rounds being played in a single match. This season, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition returned to an 8-team tournament without a Round of 16, which was the structure prior to the 2018-19 season. Metropolitano Stadium
Metropolitano Stadium (Spanish: ''Estadio Metropolitano''), also referred to as CÃvitas Metropolitano for sponsorship reasons, is a stadium in Madrid, Spain. It has been the home stadium of Atlético Madrid since the 2017–18 season. It is located in the Rosas neighbourhood, in the San Blas-Canillejas district. The stadium was built as part of Madrid's unsuccessful bid to host the 1997 World Athletics Championships, and was opened on 6 September 1994 by the Community of Madrid. Davide Massa (born 15 July 1981) is an Italian football referee who officiates in Serie A. He has been a FIFA referee since 2014, and is ranked as a UEFA elite category referee. Refereeing career In 2011 he began officiating in Serie A. His first match as referee was on 23 January 2011 between Fiorentina and Lecce. In 2014, he was put on the FIFA referees list. Sergio Canales Madrazo (; born 16 February 1991) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for La Liga club Real Betis and the Spain national team. Donny van de Beek (; born 18 April 1997) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Manchester United and the Netherlands national team.
