2019 World Athletics Championships – Men's Decathlon
The men's decathlon at the 2019 World Athletics Championships was held at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha from 2 to 4 October. Because of the timetable, with the last competition finishing after midnight local time on 4 October, the technical rules of decathlon were modified: since this edition, the decathlon has to be completed in a period of two 24 hours rather than over two consecutive days as before. Khalifa International Stadium (, , ) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Al Rayyan, Qatar, around west from the centre of Doha. Its ground comprises a running track and a grass pitch. Opened in 1976, the stadium was named after then-Emir of Qatar Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, and under the ownership of the Qatar Football Association, it serves as the primary home ground of the Qatar men's national football team. Carlos Eduardo Bezerra Chinin (born 3 May 1985 in São Paulo) is a decathlete from Brazil. At the Athletics at the 2007 Pan American Games – Men's decathlon, 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, the first Chinin's Pan, he won the bronze medal in the decathlon. He finished the first day in the second place, dropped to fourth after nine races, but made a startling rise in the last race, the 1500 m, finishing with 7977 points and medal. Larbi Bourrada
Larbi Bourrada (called sometimes ''Larbi Bouraâda'' or ''Larbi Bouraada'', born May 10, 1988, in Rouiba) is an Algerian decathlon athlete. He is the four-time African champion (2008, 2010, 2014 and 2018) and the African record holder in the event. He has also competed in the pole vault, winning the All-Africa Games title in 2011 and two silver medals at the African Championships. In 2012 his doping sample at a competition came back positive for the banned steroid Stanozolol, and he was given a two-year ban from athletics.
