2019 ITTF Men's World Cup
The 2019 ITTF Men's World Cup was a table tennis competition held in Chengdu, China, from 29 November to 1 December 2019. It was the 40th edition of the ITTF-sanctioned event. Qualification In total, 20 players qualified for the World Cup: * The reigning World Champion * 18 players from the five Continental Cups held during 2019 * A wild card, selected by the ITTF A maximum of two players from each association could qualify. ;Notes Competition format The tournament consisted of two stages: a preliminary group stage and a knockout stage. The players seeded 9 to 20 were drawn into four groups, with three players in each group. The top two players from each group joined the top eight seeded players in the second stage of the competition, which consisted of a knockout draw. 2019 Europe Top 16 Cup
The 2019 Europe Top 16 Cup (also referred to as the 2019 CCB Europe Top 16 Cup for sponsorship reasons) was a table tennis competition held from 2–3 February in Montreux, Switzerland, organised under the authority of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU). It was the 48th edition of the event, and the fourth time that it had been held in Switzerland. Events were held in men's singles and women's singles, and the three medallists in each event qualified for the 2019 Men's and Women's World Cups. Daniel Habesohn (born 22 July 1986 in Vienna) is an Austrian table tennis player. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics as part of the Austrian team in the men's team event. Habesohn competed in the 2017 World Table Tennis Championships, upsetting Japanese player and number 15 seed Kenta Matsudaira (7-11, 11-13, 11-6, 12-10, 13-11, 7-11, and 11-8). Omar Assar
Omar Assar (born 22 July 1991 in Desouk) is an Egyptian table tennis player. He won silver in singles and gold in team play at the 2011 Arab Games in Doha. He also competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the Men's singles, but was defeated in the second round on both occasions. 2019 ITTF-Oceania Cup
The 2019 ITTF-Oceania Cup was a table tennis event that took place from 25–26 May in Bora Bora, French Polynesia. The competition was organised by ITTF-Oceania, under the authority of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). It was the 11th edition of the event, and the first time that it had been held in French Polynesia. Men's singles and women's singles competitions were held, with the winner of each event qualifying automatically for the 2019 Men's and Women's World Cups.
