2019 Hypo-Meeting
The 45th edition of the annual Hypo-Meeting took place on May 25 and May 26, 2019 in Götzis, Vorarlberg ( Austria). The track and field competition, featuring a men's decathlon and a women's heptathlon event is part of the 2019 IAAF Combined Events Challenge. On the first day, Damian Warner succeeded in finishing the 100 metres in 10.12 seconds, setting a new world record for this discipline in the decathlon. Götzis
Götzis is a town in the western Austrian state of Vorarlberg. The Alpine Rhine valley municipality belongs to the district of Feldkirch. Population Events The town is well known for its annual hypo-combined events meeting, the so-called Hypo-Meeting, where some of the world's leading decathletes and heptathletes gather in the Mösle stadium. Janek Õiglane
Janek Õiglane (born 25 April 1994 in Rakvere) is an Estonian athlete competing in the decathlon. He has represented Estonia five times at the World Athletics Championships, finishing 19th at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, achieving 4th place at the 2017 World Championships in London and earning 6th at the 2019 World Championships in Doha. DNF at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene and after that bounced back to get 6th place at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. Mathias Brugger
Mathias Brugger (born 6 August 1992) is a German track and field athlete who competes in the decathlon. He was a bronze medallist in the indoor heptathlon at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships. His decathlon personal best is 8009 points, set in 2015. A member of SSV Ulm 1846 athletics club and trained by Christopher Hallmann, Brugger failed to finish his first international decathlon at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics. He rebounded, however, with a silver medal at the 2011 European Athletics Junior Championships the following season. He did not finish his first senior international at the 2012 European Athletics Championships and it was not until 2015 that he would represent Germany again at the top level, coming eleventh in the heptathlon at the 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships. Manuel Eitel (born 28 January 1997) is a German decathlete. Career From Baltmannsweiler, he is a member of SSV Ulm 1846. He was a 2016 World Athletics U20 Championships bronze medalist in the 4x100m relay in 2016 in Bydgoszcz. He was a European Athletics U23 Championships bronze medallist in the decathlon in 2019. Kai Kazmirek (born 28 January 1991) is a German track and field athlete who competes in the decathlon. He holds a personal best of 8580 points for the event achieved in Rio 2016, as well as an indoor heptathlon best of 6173 points. He is a member of LG Rhein-Wied athletics club. He represented Germany at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships, placing sixth.
