Kai Kazmirek
Kai Kazmirek (born 28 January 1991) is a German track and field athlete who competes in the decathlon. He holds a personal best of 8580 points for the event achieved in Rio 2016, as well as an indoor heptathlon best of 6173 points. He is a member of LG Rhein-Wied athletics club. He represented Germany at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships, placing sixth. A two-time German champion (decathlon in 2012, heptathlon in 2014), he was also the winner at the 2013 European Athletics U23 Championships. Career Born in Torgau, he initially specialised in the high jump and was the 2008 German youth champion in the event. Youth sports is any sports event where competitors are younger than adult age, whether children or adolescents. Youth sports includes school sports at primary and secondary level, as well as sports played outside the education system, whether informally or organized. The 100 metres, or 100-meter dash, is a sprint race in track and field competitions. The shortest common outdoor running distance, the dash is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. The 14th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (Moscow 2013) () was an international athletics competition held in Moscow, Russia, from 10–18 August 2013. Initially, Russia won the most gold medals to top the table for the first time since 2001. It was also the first time ever the host nation took the top of the medal table. However, after disqualification of Russian sprinter Antonina Krivoshapka for doping and following redistribution of medals in the Women's 4 × 400 metres relay (as well as after series of other disqualifications of Russian athletes for doping offences), United States topped the medal table with eight golds. A gold medal is a medal awarded for highest achievement in a non-military field. Its name derives from the use of at least a fraction of gold in form of plating or alloying in its manufacture. Since the eighteenth century, gold medals have been awarded in the arts, for example, by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, usually as a symbol of an award to give an outstanding student some financial freedom. Jan Felix Knobel
Jan Felix Knobel (born 16 January 1989) is a German retired decathlete. He finished fifth at the 2005 World Youth Championships. At the 2008 World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz he won the title with 7896 points in the decathlon. The final margin of victory over Belarusian Eduard Mikhan was only two points. At the German Championships in 2009, Knobel took part in the senior class, although he would have been eligible to start in the juniors, and secured the victory with 7738 points. Knobel's personal best is 8288 points, which he reached the end of May 2011 at the 2011 Hypo-Meeting in Götzis. Shortly after, he started as a co-favorite at the 2011 European U23 Championships in Ostrava. After a fall in the 110-meter hurdles he had to bury all medal hopes. Pascal Behrenbruch (born 19 January 1985 in Offenbach am Main) is a German decathlete. He is a member of the Eintracht Frankfurt athletics team and placed tenth at the 2012 Olympic Games. 2010 World Junior Championships In Athletics
The 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics was an international athletics competition for athletes under the age of 20 which was held at the Moncton Stadium in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada from 19 to 25 July 2010. A total of 44 athletics events were contested at the Championships, 22 by male and 22 by female athletes. It was the second time that the event took place in Canada, after the 1988 edition in Sudbury. This became the last event announced by Scott Davis.
