2019 AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic
The 2019 AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic was held September 10 to 15 in Cornwall, Ontario. The total purse for the event was $59,000 for the Men's and $34,500 for the Women's. In the Men's final, John Epping defeated Brad Jacobs 5–3 in an all Ontario matchup. In the Women's final, Jennifer Jones defeated Tracy Fleury 6–4 in an all Manitoba affair. Sven Michel (born 30 March 1988) is a Swiss curler from Matten. He won a gold medal for Switzerland at the 2013 European Curling Championships and skipped Switzerland at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Career As a junior curler, Michel won the bronze medal at the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships, playing third for Christian von Gunten. Benoît François Dominique Schwarz (born 19 August 1991) is a Swiss curler. He currently throws fourth stones for the Peter de Cruz rink. James Grattan, nicknamed "Jimmy the Kid" (born July 28, 1974 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Oromocto, New Brunswick. He currently skips his own team. Career Grattan's best personal result as a skip at the Brier is third place (). In 2002–2004 he played third for Russ Howard. Robbie "Rob" Gordon (born November 28, 1995) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He currently plays lead on Team Braden Calvert. Career Gordon joined the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships winning rink of Matt Dunstone for the 2013–14 season. The team lost in the finals of the Manitoba Canola Juniors to Braden Calvert in both 2014 and 2015. The team would win the Manitoba juniors the following year in 2016. Ian McMillan (born July 17, 1991 in Dryden, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He currently plays second on Team Tanner Horgan. Career McMillan is most notable for winning the 2017 Tour Challenge Tier 2 Grand Slam of Curling event playing second for Jason Gunnlaugson. The team finished sixth on the CTRS standings that season. McMillan left the team the following season and joined the Braden Calvert rink. Karrick Martin
Karrick Martin (born May 24, 1989 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian curler. He currently plays lead on Team Kevin Koe. He is the son of 2010 Olympic champion skip Kevin Martin. Career Juniors Despite being the son of one of curling's greatest players, Martin only began curling at age 19, after playing hockey in high school for the Beaumont Chiefs. He joined the University of Alberta curling team and played in the 2008 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, throwing second stones for the team, which was skipped by Brandon Klassen.
