2018–19 Bangladesh Cricket League
The 2018–19 Bangladesh Cricket League was the seventh edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League, a first-class cricket competition. It was held in Bangladesh, starting on 21 November 2018 and concluding on 27 December 2018. South Zone were the defending champions. South Zone retained their title, after they beat North Zone by nine wickets in their final match. Prior to the start of the tournament, a players' draft took place. The third round match between Central Zone and East Zone finished as a draw, under controversial circumstances. The umpires called off the game due to bad light, eight minutes after the scheduled close, with East Zone six runs short of the target to win. Bangladesh Cricket Board
The Bangladesh Cricket board ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড; abbreviated as BCB) is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board first became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1977 and on June 26, 2000 became a Full Member. BCB have three International Cricket teams which represent Bangladesh in international cricket, which are Bangladesh Men's national cricket team, Bangladesh women's national cricket team and Bangladesh under-19 cricket team. Litton Kumer Das (Bengali: লিটন কুমার দাস; born 16 February 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a test wicket-keeper. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in June 2015. He has scored the highest individual score for Bangladesh in ODI cricket (176). Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury ( bn, এবাদত হোসেন চৌধুরী; born 7 January 1994), better known as simply Ebadot Hossain, nicknamed 'Sylhet Rocket' due to his speed and skill, is a Bangladeshi cricketer. Nadir Shah (umpire)
Nadir Shah (7 February 1964 – 10 September 2021) was an international cricket umpire from Bangladesh. He stood in international matches between 2006 and 2011, but was later caught in a sting operation and banned for ten years for corruption. The ban was lifted after six years, and he resumed umpiring in domestic cricket in Bangladesh. He continued to umpire until October 2019. He died from cancer in September 2021. Life and career Nadir Shah was born on 7 February 1964 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was the youngest of seven brothers, and developed a passion for cricket from a young age. One of his older brothers, Jahangir Shah played for the Bangladesh national cricket team. Nadir, along with some of his other brothers, played in the Dhaka League for a variety of teams.
