Nadir Shah (umpire)
Nadir Shah (7 February 1964 – 10 September 2021) was an international cricket umpire from Bangladesh. He stood in international matches between 2006 and 2011, but was later caught in a sting operation and banned for ten years for corruption. The ban was lifted after six years, and he resumed umpiring in domestic cricket in Bangladesh. He continued to umpire until October 2019. He died from cancer in September 2021. Life and career Nadir Shah was born on 7 February 1964 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was the youngest of seven brothers, and developed a passion for cricket from a young age. One of his older brothers, Jahangir Shah played for the Bangladesh national cricket team. Nadir, along with some of his other brothers, played in the Dhaka League for a variety of teams. This is a list of cricket umpires who have officiated at least one men's One Day International (ODI) match. As of October 2022, 418 umpires have officiated in an ODI match. The first ODI match took place on 5 January 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The umpires for this game were Tom Brooks and Lou Rowan. In April 2019, Claire Polosak became the first woman to stand in men's ODI match, when she was one of the on-field umpires for the final of the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. Three umpires, Rudi Koertzen of South Africa, Billy Bowden of New Zealand and Aleem Dar of Pakistan, have officiated in 200 or more ODI matches. The Bangladesh Cricket board ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড; abbreviated as BCB) is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board first became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1977 and on June 26, 2000 became a Full Member. The 2012 ICC World Twenty20 was the fourth ICC World Twenty20 competition, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament that took place in Sri Lanka from 18 September to 7 October 2012 which was won by the West Indies. The schedule has been posted by International Cricket Council (ICC). This was the first World Twenty20 tournament held in an Asian country, the last three having been held in South Africa, England and the West Indies. Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga had been chosen as the event ambassador of the tournament by ICC. The format had four groups of three teams in a preliminary round. Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played at international level between teams representing full member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC). A match consists of four innings (two per team) and is scheduled to last for up to five days. In the past, some Test matches had no time limit and were called Timeless Tests. 2007 ICC World Cricket League Division One
The 2007 ICC World Cricket League Division One was a One Day International cricket tournament played from 29 January 2007 to 7 February 2007 in Nairobi, Kenya. Division One, which is the successor to the now defunct ICC 6 Nations Challenge, is the highest tier of the World Cricket League, and is effectively the second level of cricket below the 10 Test-playing nations. This tournament served as an important warm-up for the 2007 Cricket World Cup that took place in the West Indies in March 2007. The tournament featured the six Associate members in the 2007 Cricket World Cup, who qualified for the Cricket World Cup as hosts and through the 2005 ICC Trophy.
