2017 South American Beach Soccer League
The 2017 CONMEBOL South American Beach Soccer League was the first edition of the South American Beach Soccer League (named natively in Spanish as the ''CONMEBOL Liga Sudamericana de Fútbol Playa''), a continental league competition for South American men's national beach soccer teams. Organised by the governing body for South American football, CONMEBOL, as part of its Development Department's ''Evolution Program'', all ten members of the continental confederation took part, with both senior and Under 20s teams participating in the league events. The teams were first divided into two geographically based zones (North and South) to compete in a round robin tournament against other members of their own zone. The winners of each zone then proceeded to face each other in the Finals to contest the title. In sports (particularly association football), a two-legged tie is a contest between two teams which comprises two matches or "legs", with each team as the home team in one leg. The winning team is usually determined by aggregate score, the sum of the scores of the two legs. Paraguay observes UTC−04:00 for standard time (PYT), and UTC−03:00 for daylight saving time/summer time (PYST). Daylight saving time Paraguay observes DST under decree 1867 of March 5, 2004. DST ends on the third Sunday of March and starts on the first Sunday of October. In 2007, DST started on October 15, 2006 and ended on March 11, 2007. In 2010, Paraguay changed its own DST rules because of the energy crisis, ending DST on the second Sunday in April, a month later than previous years. In 2013 Paraguay changed the ending date of daylight saving to the fourth Sunday in March. The starting date remains unchanged. Luque () is a city in Central Department of Paraguay, part of the Gran Asunción metropolitan area. Both 1635 and 1750 have been recorded as dates of its founding. Ñu Guasú Park
The Ñu Guasú Park (Spanish: ''Parque Ñu Guasú'') is an urban park located in Luque, in the Greater Asuncion area, in Paraguay, near the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport. It was turned into a recreational park covering 25 hectares. It is maintained through the Communications and Public Constructions Ministry of Paraguay, through the Public Constructions Direction, dependent of the Vice-Ministry.
