2016–17 Figure Skating Season
The 2016–17 figure skating season began on July 1, 2016, and ended on June 30, 2017. Sofia Sula (born 27 December 2002) is a former competitive Finnish figure skater. She lives in Torino, Italy. On the junior level, she is a two-time Nordics silver medalist (2017, 2018), and a two-time Finnish junior national champion (2017, 2018). Career Her coaches were Italian Edoardo De Bernardis and Claudia Masoero. Sula practiced at Ice Club Torino in Italy. Her choreographer was Italian Edoardo De Bernardis. Mikla is a contemporary restaurant in Istanbul, known for its "New Anatolian Kitchens". Opened in October 2005, Mikla is on the top two floors of The Marmara Pera Hotel located in the historical Pera region, with its view of Istanbul. Restaurant Mikla opened in October 2005. Matthias Versluis (born 18 July 1994) is a Finnish figure skater. Competing in ice dancing with Juulia Turkkila, he is the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo bronze medalist and a two-time Finnish national champion. As a single skater, he is the 2014 Finnish national champion and competed in the final segment at two ISU Championships. Personal life Versluis was born on 18 July 1994 in Genolier, Switzerland, to a Finnish mother and Dutch father. He moved to Finland with his family when he was six months old. Free Dance (figure Skating)
The free dance (FD) is a segment of an ice dance competition, the second contested. It follows the rhythm dance (RD). Short Dance
The short dance (SD) was the first segment of an ice dancing competition from the 2010–2011 to the 2017–2018 seasons. It was approved in June 2010 by the International Skating Union (ISU). It merged the original dance (OD) and compulsory dance (CD), which were both discontinued. The ISU renamed the short dance to the rhythm dance (RD) in 2018. The SD was composed of two parts: the pattern dance (formerly known as the compulsory dance), which lasted about one minute and could be placed anywhere in the SD, and the creative section, which took up most of the SD. The pattern dance changed each year, and was announced beforehand by the ISU. The ISU also published yearly rule changes.
