2016–17 Virginia Tech Hokies Women's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Virginia Tech Hokies women's basketball team represented Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Hokies, led by first year head coach Kenny Brooks, played their home games at Cassell Coliseum and were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 20–14, 4–12 in ACC play to finish in a tie for eleventh place. They lost in the first round of the ACC Women's Tournament to Clemson. Kenny Brooks
Kenny Brooks (born December 20, 1968) is the current head coach of the Virginia Tech women's basketball team. Career Brooks played his collegiate basketball for the James Madison Dukes basketball program. During the 2013–2014 season the James Madison University women's basketball team upset the 6 seed Gonzaga in the NCAA tournament. It was JMU's first NCAA tournament victory since 1991. Inwood is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 9,792 at the 2010 census. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women's basketball team represents the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in NCAA Division I basketball. The team plays its home games at McCamish Pavilion.
