2015 Speedway Grand Prix Of Scandinavia
The 2015 Tegera Stockholm FIM Speedway Grand Prix was the 10th race of the 2015 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on September 26 at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Riders First reserve Peter Kildemand replaced Jarosław Hampel, who had injured himself during the 2015 Speedway World Cup. The Speedway Grand Prix Commission also nominated Antonio Lindbäck as the wild card, and Fredrik Lindgren and Kim Nilsson both as Track Reserves. Results The Grand Prix was won by Tai Woffinden, who beat Greg Hancock, Niels-Kristian Iversen and Maciej Janowski in the final. Hancock had initially top scored during the heats, but was beaten into second place in the final. Both riders finished with 16 points though, meaning Woffinden maintained his 25-point lead in the world title race with just two rounds remaining. Andreas Karl Rune Jonsson (born 3 September 1980 in Stockholm, Sweden) is an international motorcycle speedway rider. He was a member of the Sweden speedway team that won the World Cup in 2003, 2004 and 2015. Career summary Jonsson won Under-21 titles at World, Scandinavian and Swedish levels and won the $100,000 first prize on offer at the 100th Speedway Grand Prix, billed as the 'Richest Minute in Motorsport'. Craig William Cook (born 21 May 1987) is a British speedway rider. Career Born in Whitehaven, Cook's speedway career began in 2008. In 2009 Cook won the National League Riders Championship and three years later won the Premier League Riders' Championship. He rode for Peterborough Panthers in 2010. He moved on to Edinburgh Monarchs, who he rode for in the Premier League between 2011 and 2015, and was part of the Belle Vue Aces team that competed in the Elite League from 2011 until 2018. Bartosz Zmarzlik (; born 12 April 1995) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider and three-time World Champion (2019, 2020 and 2022). He has been decorated with the Order of Polonia Restituta, V class. Christopher Robert Holder (born 24 September 1987 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian speedway rider currently riding for Lejonen in the Swedish Elitserien and for Apator Toruń in the Polish Speedway Ekstraliga. He became the Australian Individual Speedway Champion in 2008 and followed up with wins in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014 (he was runner up in 2009) as well as winning the Australian Under-21 Championship in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Troy Matthew Batchelor (born 29 August 1987) is an Australian speedway rider.
