Michael Jepsen Jensen
Michael Jepsen Jensen (born 18 February 1992) is a speedway rider from Denmark. Career He was part of the 2010 Under-21 World Cup winning Denmark team. He also won the 2012 Nordic Speedway Grand Prix becoming the 1st wildcard to have won a GP meeting since Hans Andersen. In November 2012 he won the Individual Under-21 World Championship. In 2022, he helped Smederna win the Swedish Speedway Team Championship during the 2022 campaign. 2010 Team Speedway Junior World Championship
The 2010 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the sixth FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The final took place on 5 September, 2010 at Rye House Stadium in Rye House, England. It was the first final in Great Britain. The Championship was won by Denmark, who beat Sweden, the defending champions Poland and host team Great Britain. 2011 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification
The 2011 Individual Speedway World Championship Grand Prix Qualification were a series of motorcycle speedway meetings used to determine the three riders who qualified for the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix. The top eight riders finishing the 2010 Grand Prix series automatically qualified for 2011. The final round of qualification – the Grand Prix Challenge – took place on 21 August 2010, in Vojens, Denmark. Artem Laguta and Antonio Lindbäck finished in the top two positions, and thus automatically qualified for the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix season. The third spot was decided in a three-way run-off, with Fredrik Lindgren defeating Janusz Kołodziej and Magnus Zetterström. Rye House Stadium
Rye House Stadium is a former greyhound racing and speedway venue in Rye Road, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. It is situated adjacent to the River Lea Navigation. Origins The name Rye House originates from a collection of medieval buildings on an area known as the Isle of Rye due to the fact that the land was directly next door to the River Lea/Lee and in particular the Lee Navigation. When the stadium was constructed in 1935 it was put next door to Rye House on a spare plot which is where the name for the stadium came from. Rye House had been the family home for the Parr family that included Catherine in the 16th century and later a workhouse and tourist attraction in the 19th century. All that remains today of the original Rye House is the gatehouse found to the north of the stadium. The stadium (or circuit as it was then) was first used on 27 May 1934 when it hosted speedway meetings. 2010 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship Qualification
This page describes the qualifying procedure for the 2010 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship finals. The 2010 FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championship events took place from April to June 2010. In a new format approved by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM), there were three final meetings with fourteen permanent riders and two wild cards and two track reserves. The permanent riders was determined in five Qualifying Round and two Semi-Finals. Qualification system In five Qualifying Round was started 80 riders and to Semi-Finals was qualify top 6 from each meetings. This 30 riders and 2 riders from Semi-Final' host federations (Matija Duh of Slovenia and Kevin Wölbert of Germany) was started in two Semi-Finals. 2010 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship
The 2010 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship was the 34th edition of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM World motorcycle speedway Under-21 Championships. For the first time a champion would be determined from three races between 17 July and 2 October 2010. Three riders (the 2009 Champion Darcy Ward, Maciej Janowski and Maksims Bogdanovs all tied on 30 points after the three races meaning a run-off was needed to decide the medals. Ward became the second rider to win the Under-21 World Champion title twice, after Emil Sayfutdinov (2007 and 2008 champion) after beating Janowksi and Bogdanovs in the run-off. The 2022 Swedish Speedway season was the 2022 season of speedway in Sweden. Smederna won the Elitserien and were declared the winners of the Swedish Speedway Team Championship. Valsarna won the Allsvenskan (second tier league). Earlier in March 2022, Vetlanda were declared bankrupt and would not compete during the season. Denmark National Under-21 Speedway Team
The Denmark national under-21 speedway team is the national under-21 motorcycle speedway team of Denmark and is controlled by the Danish Motor Union. The team started in Under-21 World Cup in all editions and won five medals: one gold (2010), two silver (2008 and 2009) and two bronze (2005 and 2006). Denmark has produced three Under-21 World Champions: Gert Handberg (1989), Brian Andersen (1991) and Jesper B. Jensen (1997). In 1977 and 1978 two Danish riders, Alf Busk and Finn Rune Jensen, was won Individual U-21 European Championship. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand).
