2011 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification
The 2011 Individual Speedway World Championship Grand Prix Qualification were a series of motorcycle speedway meetings used to determine the three riders who qualified for the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix. The top eight riders finishing the 2010 Grand Prix series automatically qualified for 2011. The final round of qualification – the Grand Prix Challenge – took place on 21 August 2010, in Vojens, Denmark. Artem Laguta and Antonio Lindbäck finished in the top two positions, and thus automatically qualified for the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix season. The third spot was decided in a three-way run-off, with Fredrik Lindgren defeating Janusz Kołodziej and Magnus Zetterström. Speedway Grand Prix Qualification
The Speedway Grand Prix Challenge or Speedway Grand Prix Qualification is an annual Motorcycle speedway, speedway qualifying tournament to determine the qualifiers for the Speedway Grand Prix, which is the World Championship of speedway. History From 1995 the List of Individual Speedway World Championship medalists, Individual World Championship was replaced by the Grand Prix system. The 17 qualifiers for the 1995 Grand Prix were the top 10 from the 1994 Individual Speedway World Championship, 1994 World final, 5 seeds and 2 wildcards. From 1996, the leading riders from each Grand Prix series would automatically qualifying for the following year's event. The remaining places would be filled by the leading riders in the Challenge event and qualifiers from the both the Continental Speedway Final and Intercontinental Final. Pozzuolo del Friuli ( fur, Puçui) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about southwest of Udine. He also won the 2012 Nordic Speedway Grand Prix becoming the 1st wildcard to have won a GP meeting since Hans Andersen. In November 2012 he won the Individual Under-21 World Championship. Tobias Kroner
Tobias Kroner (born 16 October 1985) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Germany. Speedway career Kroner began his British league career after he signed for Oxford for the 2005 Elite League speedway season. He struggled during the season but switched to Ipswich Witches the following season where his form began to improve. In 2007, he remained with Ipswich and made his Polish league debut for Orzeł Łódź in the Polish Speedway First League. He then joined Wybrzeże Gdańsk, with whom he reached the Ekstraliga. After four seasons with Ipswich he would have one more season in Britain riding for the Belle Vue Aces during the 2010 Elite League speedway season. He continued to ride in Poland, racing for Ostrów Wielkopolski and Wanda Kraków. Claus Vissing
Claus Vissing (born 6 June 1986) is a Danish speedway rider. Career Vissing made his British league debut for Stoke Potters in the 2007 Premier League speedway season before joining Peterborough Panthers for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. In 2010, he rode in the top tier of British Speedway, riding for Ipswich Witches during the 2010 Elite League speedway season. The following season in 2011, he signed for Birmingham Brummies but soon moved on to Somerset Rebels for 2012. He then spent three years in Scotland with Edinburgh Monarchs and Berwick Bandits respectively. In 2016, he joined Workington Comets and then rode again for Berwick in 2017. He was a member of the Swindon Robins team in the SGB Premiership 2019 that won the league and Knockout cup double. Kyle Legault
Kyle Patrick Legault (born May 30, 1985 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Canada. Career Legault is a three-time Canadian individual speedway champion; winning in 2003, 2004 and 2006. He began his British speedway career in 2005, with Premier League team the Sheffield Tigers where he recorded a 5.80 average in his first season. Legault remained with Sheffield in 2006 and the team reached the Premier League play-off final and the final of the Premier Trophy, but lost both finals to the King's Lynn Stars. Legault switched to the Mildenhall Fen Tigers for 2007 and recorded an improved average of 8.77 by the end of the season. He also reached the final round of the 2008 Speedway Grand Prix qualifiers at Vojens, Denmark, but fell during his first heat and fractured his right wrist. Edward Kennett
Edward David Kennett (born 28 August 1986 in Hastings, England) is a motorcycle speedway rider. He was the British Under-21 Champion in 2005 and has appeared in two Speedway Grand Prix as a wild card. Kennett's father Dave, was a motorcycle speedway rider who rode for the Eastbourne Eagles, Hackney Hawks, Newport Wasps and the White City Rebels. His uncle Gordon Kennett represented Great Britain, and rode for many clubs. Another uncle, Brian (Barney) Kennett, rode mainly in the British League Division Two/National League for the Canterbury Crusaders during the 1970s and 1980s. Ryan Scott Fisher (born 7 September 1983 in Riverside, California) is an American former international motorcycle speedway rider. Career Fisher began riding in the United Kingdom for Coventry Bees in 2002 and has since ridden for Oxford Cheetahs and Belle Vue Aces. He was a doubling up riding for a second successive season at Edinburgh Monarchs on the Premier side and Swindon Robins on the Elite side. Kauko Tapio Nieminen (born 29 August 1979, in Seinäjoki) is a Finnish former speedway rider who raced for several teams in the UK, Sweden, and Poland, and as part of the Finland national speedway team. Career summary Nieminen started his United Kingdom career with the Workington Comets in 2002 and was with them every season until 2008 except for 2006, when he rode for the Glasgow Tigers. In 2004, he was part of the Workington four that won the Premier League Four-Team Championship, which was held on 21 August 2004, at the Derwent Park. In 2006, he represented Finland in the 2006 Speedway World Cup. Nieminen was known by both Workington and Glasgow fans as 'The Flyin Finn' because of his racing style, which produces some high speed passing.
