2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Season
The 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series was the ninth season of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, which took place in the summer of 2015. The season consisted of 11 races at 10 different venues, of which 7 were held on ovals. It began with the Pinty's presents the Clarington 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on May 17 and ended with the Pinty's 250 at Kawartha Speedway on September 19. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion; 2015 was the final season that Canadian Tire sponsored the series, with Pinty's taking over the title sponsorship from 2016. Scott Steckly won his fourth series championship by four points, holding off an end-of-season points surge by Jason Hathaway. Scott Steckly
Scott Steckly (born March 2, 1972) is a Canadian professional stock car racing driver and team owner. In his nine years competing in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, he drove the No. 22 Dodge Charger for his own 22 Racing team. He is the 2008, 2011, 2013, and 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion. He currently fields the No. 18 Chevrolet Camaro full-time for Alex Tagliani, the No. 22 Camaro full-time for Marc-Antoine Camirand, and the No. 24 Camaro full-time for Donald Theetge. Circuit ICAR
The International Center of Advanced Racing (Circuit ICAR) is a multi-track facility located on the former runways at Montréal–Mirabel International Airport, in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada north of Montreal. The facility features a 2.125-mile (3.4 km), 16-turn road course, a 0.4 mile oval, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) drag strip, two kart tracks, a driftpark and an offroad course. The facility opened in May 2008 as a private motorsport country club, and was opened to the general public in 2009 with the opening of the ICAR Racing Academy, and a karting track designed by Formula One World Champion Jacques Villeneuve. Jean-François Dumoulin
Jean-François Dumoulin (born May 5, 1976) is a Canadian racing driver. He competes in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship for Magnus Racing, as well as the NASCAR Pinty's Series. He is the older brother of Louis-Philippe Dumoulin. Grand-Am career He made his first career start in the series in 2000 with a fifth-place finish in his class. The following year, he earned a class victory at the Circuit Trois-Rivières. He also competed at the KONI Challenge Series and earned a class victory at Watkins Glen International. In 2002, he won the KONI Championship in the ST Class, despite not winning a single event. He won six races in the GSI class the following year and captured the title. Julien Jousse (born 21 January 1986 in Les Issambres) is a professional racing driver from France. Career Formula Ford After spending time in karting between 1997 and 2001, Jousse began has circuit racing career in 2002 in the Formula Ford Kent series. In the three races he contested he took three podium finishes, including one race win. In 2003 he moved to the French Formula Ford series, taking a single podium place to finish the year in 9th place. Mark Dilley (born January 20, 1969) is a Canadian race car driver. He competes in the NASCAR Pinty's Series, driving the No. 64 Leland/BDI/PartSource Ford Fusion for Micks Motorsports. Dilley has been co-owner of Sauble Speedway since May 2017. Early career Dilley drove in the CASCAR Super Series from 1990 until 2006 when the series was bought by NASCAR and rebranded as the Canadian Tire Series. Kerry Micks
Kerry Micks (born January 10, 1961) is a Canadian race car driver in the NASCAR Pinty's Series. CASCAR Super Series Kerry and his wife Susan formed Micks Motorsports in 1992 to compete in the CASCAR Super Series. From 1990 to 2006 he drove in CASCAR, where is the all-time leader in starts with 165 and second in wins with 24 in the series. Micks won his first and only CASCAR Super Series Championship in 1993. Kevin O'Connell (born April 29, 1967) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 15 Chevrolet SS for Premium Motorsports. Derek White (born December 9, 1970) is a Canadian professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 13 Toyota Camry and No. 40 Dodge Challenger as an owner/driver for MBM Motorsports. In March 2016, White was arrested and charged for smuggling tobacco from the United States into Canada. He was eventually suspended indefinitely by NASCAR. Marc-Antoine Camirand
Marc-Antoine Camirand (born 30 April 1979) is a Canadian racing driver. He currently competes in the NASCAR Pinty's Series and is the 2022 NASCAR Pinty's Series champion. Early career Camirand began karting in the early 1990s, winning the F100 Junior class in the Quebec Karting Championship in 1993 and the Formula Super A class in the Canadian Karting Championship two years later in 1995. Camirand moved to cars in 1996, beginning with the Formula Ford Canada championship. Camirand won the championship in 1997 and afterwards moved on the U.S. F2000 National Championship.
