2014–15 Montenegrin First League
The 2014–15 Montenegrin First League was the ninth season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 8 August 2014 and ended on 30 May 2015. Teams Last season, Dečić were relegated to the Montenegrin Second League, finishing in 12th place and Čelik exclusion because of financial issues. Bokelj and Berane were promoted. Montenegrin First League
The First League of Montenegro ( Montenegrin: ''Prva crnogorska fudbalska liga'' — ''Prva CFL'' — ''1. CFL''; ) is the top football league in Montenegro. Founded in 2006, competition is headed by the Football Association of Montenegro. 10 teams participate in this league. The winner of the Montenegrin First League starts the qualifications for the UEFA Champions League from the second round. The second and third placed team and Montenegrin Cup winner play in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Conference League. The last placed team is directly relegated to the Montenegrin Second League, and the two others are playing in Montenegrin First League playoffs. FK Dečić
FK Dečić (Montenegrin Cyrillic: ФК Дечић, sq, KF Deçiqi) is a Montenegrin football club from Tuzi. Currently, the club is member of the Montenegrin First League. It is a part of Dečić sport society. History Founded during 1926, it's named after Dečić hill. The team played only non-league matches in period before World War II. First official competition in which participated FK Dečić lowest-tier Fourth League - Central in which they participated until the beginning of the seventies. In that era, big local rivalry between FK Dečić and neighbouring FK Zeta was born. First significant success during the SFR Yugoslavia era was title of Fourth League champion on season 1972–73, which meant promotion of FK Dečić to the third-tier competition Montenegrin Republic League. Dragan Radojičić
Dragan Radojičić (; born 3 June 1970) is a Montenegrin football manager and former player. Playing career Radojičić started out at his hometown club Sutjeska Nikšić, making 31 appearances and scoring eight goals in the Yugoslav Second League between 1988 and 1991. He also played for the club in the First League of FR Yugoslavia from 1992 to 1994. Before moving abroad in 1996, Radojičić spent two seasons at Vojvodina. He would later play professionally in Spain, Greece, and Hungary. Managerial career After hanging up his boots, Radojičić served as manager of numerous clubs in both Serbia and Montenegro. He began his career at Vojvodina as assistant manager under Dragoljub Bekvalac in the 2008–09 season. Podgorica City Stadium
Podgorica City Stadium ( cnr, Stadion pod Goricom) is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium in Podgorica, Montenegro. Although its seating capacity changed over the years due to several renovations, as of 2019 it has 11,050 seats. The stadium is the home ground of the Montenegrin national football team and Budućnost. History Podgorica City Stadium was built in 1945, following World War II. Before the war, Budućnost and other clubs from Podgorica played their matches in a field near that location. The stadium's original capacity was around 5,000 spectators. The stadium burned down completely in 1952, but was later rebuilt, with a new capacity of about 17,000 seats. The new stadium has four stands—west, east, south and north. Podgorica
Podgorica (Cyrillic: Подгорица, ; lit. 'under the hill') is the capital and largest city of Montenegro. The city was formerly known as Titograd (Cyrillic: Титоград, ) between 1946 and 1992—in the period that Montenegro formed, as the Socialist Republic of Montenegro in honour of Marshal Josip Broz Tito. The city was largely destroyed during the bombing of Podgorica in World War II and accordingly the city is now dominated by architecture from the following decades of communism. Stadion Pod Vrmcem
Stadion Pod Vrmcem is a football stadium in Kotor, Montenegro. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Bokelj. The stadium holds 1,000 people. History The first football ground in Kotor was situated at Rakite suburb, near the Adriatic coast. At the same location, after 1945, a new ground was built. The stadium was renovated few times. It's situated near the beach in Bay of Kotor and it's the home ground of FK Bokelj. Except Bokelj's matches, at the Stadion pod Vrmcem, every year is playing final match of Nikša Bućin Cup, competition for Third League clubs from south Montenegro. The stadium has one stand, with a capacity of 1,000 seats. Pitch and conditions The pitch measures 110 x 70 meters. The stadium didn't met UEFA criteria for European competitions. Kotor
Kotor ( Montenegrin Cyrillic: Котор, ), historically known as Cattaro (from Italian: ), is a coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Bay of Kotor. The city has a population of 13,510 and is the administrative center of Kotor Municipality. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor (''Boka Kotorska''), one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Berane City Stadium ( Montenegrin: Gradski stadion Berane/Градски стадион Беране) is a multi-purpose stadium in Berane, Montenegro. Also known as Stadion pod Bogavskim brdom, it is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Berane and FK Radnički. Also it serves as home ground of Athletic Club Lim. Berane
Berane ( cyrl, Беране) is one of the largest towns of northeastern Montenegro and a former administrative centre of the Ivangrad District. The town is located on the Lim river. From 1949 to 1992, it was named Ivangrad ( cyrl, Иванград) in honour to people's hero Ivan Milutinović. The town has a population of over 11,000, whereas its municipality area reaches nearly 30,000 people, making it one of the largest centres of Polimlje area. OFK Petrovac
OFK Petrovac is a football club based in Petrovac, Montenegro. They currently compete in the First League of Montenegro. History OFK Petrovac was founded in 1969, under the name ''FK Nafta''. During the first season, they played in the lowest-tier competition - Fourth League - South. At season 1971-72, FK Nafta became a runner-up in Fourth League championship, which gained them promotion to Montenegrin Republic League.
