The 2014–15 2. Bundesliga was the 41st season of the 2. Bundesliga, Germany's second-level football competition. Teams A total of 18 teams contest the league, including 12 sides from the 2013–14 season, two sides directly relegated from the 2013–14 Bundesliga season, and two sides directly promoted from the 2013–14 3. Fußball-Club Ingolstadt 2004 e.V., commonly known as FC Ingolstadt 04 or FC Ingolstadt, is a German football club based in Ingolstadt, Bavaria. The club was founded in 2004 out of the merger of the football sides of two other clubs: ESV Ingolstadt-Ringsee 1919 and MTV Ingolstadt 1881. Aue () is a small town in Germany at the outlet of the river Schwarzwasser into the river Zwickauer Mulde in the Ore Mountains, and has roughly 16,000 inhabitants. It was merged into the new town Aue-Bad Schlema in January 2019. Eintracht-Stadion () is a multi-purpose stadium in Braunschweig, Germany. It is currently used for football and American football matches and is the home stadium of Eintracht Braunschweig and the New Yorker Lions. The stadium is able to hold 24,406 people and was built in 1923.
