2014 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship
The 2014 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship season was the fourth Scandinavian Touring Car Championship season. The season started at Ring Knutstorp on 10 May and ended on 20 September at Mantorp Park, after six double-header rounds. It was the second year of TTA – Racing Elite League silhouette regulations in the series following the merge of the STCC and TTA at the end of the 2012 season. Thed Björk entered the season as the series' defending champion. Björk won his second consecutive title, after winning three races during the season; he also achieved three pole positions which were the equivalent of three further race victories, as points were awarded on the same scale for qualifying as the races. Björk finished 33 points clear of his nearest rival, Fredrik Larsson, who achieved a single race victory at Mantorp Park, as well as a pole position at the first Knutstorp meeting. Göteborg City Race
The Göteborg City Race was a temporary motor racing circuit in Gothenburg, Sweden. The circuit was located in the city centre on part of docklands called Frihamnspiren, which was usually used as a concert venue. The spectator capacity for the venue was 30,000. The venue for the race weekends was known as "Eco Drive Arena", with all cars running on environmentally classed fuel. Ring Knutstorp is a motor racing circuit in Kågeröd, Sweden. The circuit was built in 1963, extended in 1970, and modified to its present configuration in 1980. Emma Elina Kimiläinen (born 8 July 1989 in Helsinki) is a Finnish racing driver. She currently competes in the W Series. Biography Motorsport Kimiläinen entered professional motor racing in 2005, competing in the Northern European Formula Ford Championship. She was fifth in her first season, scoring a string of rookie awards along the way, and was tied on points with series champion Sami Isohella in 2006 however finished second on count-back (4 wins to Isohella's 5). She remained in Northern Europe in 2007, racing Radicals in Sweden. Audi then picked up the young Finn in 2008, and placed her in their Formula Masters series. Daniel Haglöf (born October 9, 1978 in Stockholm) is Swedish auto racing driver who currently competes in the World Touring Car Cup and is co-founder of PWR Racing. He previously competed mainly in his native Sweden including the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship and Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia. PWR Racing is a Swedish auto racing team owned by racing drivers Peter Wallenberg, Jr. and Daniel Haglöf.
