2012 United States Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2012 United States motorcycle Grand Prix (formally known as the 2012 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix) was the tenth round of the 2012 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the first of two races in the 2012 season to take place in the United States of America. It was held on 29 July at the Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California. Jorge Lorenzo qualified on pole position for the race, which was won by Casey Stoner. Stefan Bradl
Stefan Bradl (born 29 November 1989) is a German professional motorcycle racer. Bradl is best known for winning the Moto2 World Champion. Then he made the move to MotoGP in 2012 with LCR Honda. While in MotoGP, Bradl is best known for his performance at Laguna Seca getting the pole position and finishing second in the race behind Marc Marquez, ahead of Valentino Rossi. Bradl finished the 2013 season 7th, despite missing two races due to injury. This proved to be his highest ever MotoGP finish. Bradl is the son of former racer Helmut Bradl. Iván Silva (motorcyclist)
Iván Silva Alberola (born June 12, 1982 in Barcelona) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He races in the RFME Superstock 1000 Championship aboard a Suzuki GSX-R1000. Silva has made occasional substitute racing appearances in MotoGP. After appearing in 2005 he filled in for D'Antin at Donington Park and Brno in 2006, as their regular rider Alex Hofmann was filling in for Sete Gibernau on a works Ducati. Despite targeting a full-time ride for 2007, he remained in a testing role, but again raced for the team at Brno, this time replacing an injured Hofmann. Eskil Suter (born 29 June 1967) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and current motorcycle chassis constructor from Switzerland. Motorcycle racing career Born in Turbenthal, Zürich, Switzerland, Suter finished in second place in the 1991 250cc International Lightweight class at the Daytona International Speedway. Suter had his best seasons in 1994 and 1996 when he finished in 13th place in the 250cc world championship. He raced in one round of the 1997 Superbike World Championship but failed to score any points. Colin Edwards II (born February 27, 1974), nicknamed the "Texas Tornado", is an American former professional motorcycle racer who retired half-way through the 2014 season, but continues in the sport as a factory test rider. Karel Abraham (born 2 January 1990) is a retired motorcycle racer from the Czech Republic.
