Troy Taylor (Australian Footballer)
Troy Taylor (b. 12 September 1991) is an Australian rules footballer who played for Richmond in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Central Australian Football League (CAFL) club South Alice Springs, Taylor was a talented junior footballer who had piqued the interest of Gold Coast Suns Football Club, who sought to name Taylor in their training squad in the lead up to their debut in the 2011 AFL season. Taylor declines and instead nominated for the 2009 AFL Draft, where Richmond drafted him with their fourth round pick (number 51 overall). Taylor made his senior AFL debut against Melbourne in round 4 of the 2010 season but continually suffered homesickness, twice walking out on Richmond and their Victorian Football League (VFL) affiliate Coburg Football Club. Oakleigh Chargers
The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. The Chargers were one of two additional metropolitan clubs introduced to the competition in 1995 as part of a plan by the AFL to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft. In June 2008 the Chargers moved into a new pavilion at Warrawee Park. Dandenong Stingrays
The Dandenong Southern Stingrays are an Australian rules football team in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition. 1992 saw the birth of the Southern Stingrays, developed under the leadership of Steve Kennedy (Regional Manager) and Ron Roach (Promotions Manager) with its home base located at Ben Kavanagh Reserve, Mordialloc. The side is coached in the inaugural year by Peter Russo. In 1995 the club moved from Mordialloc to Dandenong and it also changed its name to the Dandenong Southern Stingrays. The club is currently under the leadership of Darren Flanigan (Region Talent Manager) and Matthew Crozier (Female Talent Coordinator) with the home base located at Shepley Oval, Dandenong. Todd Elton
Todd Elton (born 29 April 1993) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Junior football Elton played junior football for three clubs; Tyabb, Somerville and the Frankston Dolphins. He played TAC Cup football for the Dandenong Stingrays in 2011 and represented both Victoria Metro and Victoria Country at national championships in his youth. In 2011 Elton was one of 30 players from around the country selected to be a part of the 2011 AIS/AFL academy program. As part of the program, Elton spent time training with the Carlton Football Club in 2011. Elton attended high school at Frankston High School. The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019. The competition is sponsored by National Australia Bank (NAB), having previously been sponsored by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) since its inception. The competition is one of the primary sources of recruitment for Australian Football League (AFL) clubs. Calder Cannons
The Calder Cannons is an Australian rules football club from Melbourne, Australia. The club competes in the NAB League, the Victorian Statewide Under-18s competition, and fields squads in the Under-15s, Under-16s and Under-18s. The club was formed in 1995 after the need for two more metropolitan clubs. Brandon Ellis (born 3 August 1993) is a professional Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Gold Coast Suns in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played 176 matches over eight seasons at , including in the 2017 and 2019 premierships. Early life and junior football Ellis was raised in the inner-suburb of Carlton North, four kilometres north of Melbourne. Mitchell Morton (born 28 January 1987) is a former Australian rules football player who last played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). Career Morton was initially drafted by the West Coast Eagles under the father–son rule as he is the son of Noel Morton, who played 171 West Australian Football League, WAFL games for Claremont Football Club, Claremont. Ivan Maric ( hr, Ivan Marić, ; born 4 January 1986) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club and the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
