2012 Pittsburgh Power Season
The Pittsburgh Power season was the second season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team played their home games at Consol Energy Center. After a 2–8 start, head coach Chris Siegfried was fired and replaced by defensive coordinator Derek Stingley. The Power finished the season 5–13 and did not qualify for the playoffs. Standings Schedule The Power began the season on the road against the Orlando Predators on March 9. Their home opener was on March 23 against the Philadelphia Soul. They hosted the Jacksonville Sharks on July 20 in their final regular season game. * Gray indicates that the game was played during a labor dispute. On March 9 against Orlando, some replacement players were used and the game went on as scheduled. * Due to a players' strike within the Cleveland Gladiators, the Gladiators were unable to field enough players, and forfeited the game. Chris Siegfried
Chris Siegfried is the former head coach of the Arkansas Twisters of the now-defunct arenafootball2. He was previously the offensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Sharks (2010) and Kansas City Brigade (2007), teams in the Arena Football League, the head coach of the Spokane Shock (2006), the South Georgia Wildcats (2005), and the Cape Fear Wildcats (2002–2004) of the af2. While at Spokane, he led the first year expansion team to a 14-2 regular season record and the ArenaCup Championship. On September 15, 2010, he was named the first head coach of the expansion Pittsburgh Power of the Arena Football League. He led the Power to a 9–9 inaugural season, and after a 2–8 start in 2012 he was fired. The Iowa Barnstormers season was the 12th season for the franchise, and the eighth in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Mike Hohensee. The Barnstormers played their home games at Wells Fargo Arena. The Barnstormers finished the season 7–11 and failed to qualify for the playoffs. Alamodome
The Alamodome is a 64,000-seat domed indoor multi-purpose stadium in San Antonio, Texas. It is located on the southeastern fringe of downtown San Antonio. The facility opened on May 15, 1993, having been constructed at a cost of $186 million. The multi-purpose facility was intended to increase the city's convention traffic and attract a professional football franchise. It also placated the San Antonio Spurs' demands for a larger arena. The San Antonio Talons season was the 12th season for the franchise, and the third in the Arena Football League. This was the first season for the Talons in San Antonio, Texas, after relocating from Tulsa, Oklahoma, following the 2011 season. The Talons finished the regular season with a 14–4 record, winning the Central Division and securing the top seed in the National Conference.
