The Tampa Bay Storm season was the 25th season for the franchise, and their 21st in the Tampa Bay area. The team was coached by Dave Ewart and played their home games at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. With a final record of 8–10, the Storm missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season. 2012, was the first season in which the Storm used their new logo and uniform colors. Dave Ewart
David Ewart (born March 30, 1969) is the assistant head coach for the Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League (NAL). College career Ewart attended Salem International University from 1987 to 1988 playing as an offensive lineman on the Tigers football team before transferring to East Tennessee State University. During his years at East Tennessee State, Ewart was twice named an All-Southern Conference selection and was a Division-1AA All-American selection. Coaching career Tampa Bay Storm Ewart served as an assistant under Tim Marcum for seven seasons with the Tampa Bay Storm, Ewart was named the Storm's 6th Head Coach in team history on February 17, 2011. After two losing seasons, the Storm were putting together a promising 7-4 season in 2013, when quarterback Adrian McPherson was injured. Stephen "Steve" Wasil (born April 14, 1984) is a former Arena football quarterback who played for the Muskegon Thunder, Texas Copperheads, Albany Firebirds, Alabama Vipers, Kansas City Command and Tampa Bay Storm. He is currently the Offensive Coordinator at Albion College. College career Wasil attended Albion College, where he was a member of the football team. He still holds the records for all-time most passing yards in a game (412), most passing yards in a season (3313), and most touchdowns in a season (33). In 2005, he led the Britons to a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship and was named the league's Most Valuable Offensive Player. PPG Paints Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Pittsburgh, that serves as the home of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). The San Antonio Talons season was the 12th season for the franchise, and the third in the Arena Football League. This was the first season for the Talons in San Antonio, Texas, after relocating from Tulsa, Oklahoma, following the 2011 season. The team was coached by Lee Johnson and played their home games at the Alamodome. The Talons finished the regular season with a 14–4 record, winning the Central Division and securing the top seed in the National Conference. However, the Talons would lose at home by one point in the conference semifinals to the Utah Blaze, 34–35. Amway Center is an indoor arena located in Downtown Orlando, Florida. The arena is home to the Orlando Magic of the NBA, the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL, and the Orlando Predators of the National Arena League.
