2012 Georgia Force Season
The Georgia Force season was the ninth season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Dean Cokinos and played their home games at Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Force qualified for the playoffs after finishing the regular season with a 9–9 record, but lost in the conference semifinals to the Jacksonville Sharks. Jacksonville kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired to win the game 58–56. Following this season, it was announced that the Force had folded. Dean Cokinos
Dean Cokinos is an American football coach. College career Cokinos attended University of Massachusetts Boston, where he was a running back for the Beacons. He was a college teammate of Pat Sperduto, whom he later served under in Nashville. Coaching career .Cokinos was an assistant coach for the Nashville Kats from 2005 to 2007. While with the Cats, he was also tasked with evaluating professional arena/ indoor football players for the Tennessee Titans, who then owned the Kats. Cokinos was later head coach of the Alabama Vipers, Georgia Force and New Orleans VooDoo, helping the Force reach the playoffs in 2011 and 2012. He coached the Tennessee Valley Vipers to a 56 to 55 overtime victory against the Spokane Shock in ArenaCup IX. Darian Barnes (arena Football)
Darian Durrell Barnes (born February 28, 1980) is a former American football fullback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints. He played college football at Hampton University. Early years Barnes attended Toms River High School North. As a senior, he only played in 8 games, registering 148 carries for 1,163 yards and 15 touchdowns. Norman played college football at Coastal Carolina University and attended Greenwood High School in Greenwood, South Carolina.
