The 2010–11 Austrian Football Bundesliga is the 99th season of top-tier football in Austria. The competition was officially called ''tipp3-Bundesliga powered by T-Mobile'', named after the Austrian betting company tipp3 and the Austrian branch of German mobile phone company T-Mobile. The season began in July 2010 and ended in May 2011. Red Bull Salzburg are the defending champions, having won their sixth title last season. Teams Austria Kärnten were relegated after finishing the 2009–10 season in 10th and last place. They were replaced by First League champions Wacker Innsbruck. The Austrian Football Bundesliga (german: Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga, italic=no , "Austrian Football Federal League"), also known as Admiral Bundesliga for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Austrian football league system. The competition decides the Austrian national football champions, as well the country's entrants for the various European cups run by UEFA. Since Austria stayed in sixteenth place in the UEFA association coefficient rankings at the end of the 2015–16 season, the league gained its first spot for the UEFA Champions League for the 2016-2017 season. The Austrian Bundesliga, which began in the 1974–75 season, has been a separate registered association since 1 December 1991. FC Wacker Innsbruck was an Austrian association football club from Innsbruck, Tyrol. History The ''Fußball-Club Wacker'' ("Valiant") ''Innsbruck'' was established in 1915 by Jakob Hanspeter, Benedikt Hosp, Josef Leitner, Josef Albrecht and other now unknown football enthusiasts and adopted club colours of black and green. After a few years playing friendlies against other Innsbruck sides, the club was put on hiatus until 1918 because of the interruption of the First World War. The Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion was a football stadium in Hütteldorf, in the west of Vienna, Austria. It was the home ground of Rapid Vienna. It was officially opened in 1977 as ''"Weststadion"'' (Western stadium). In 1980 it was renamed to honour its architect, Austrian football player Gerhard Hanappi (1929–1980). Linzer Stadion was a multi-purpose stadium, in Linz, Austria. Originally built in 1952, the stadium was last modified in 2012 and now has a capacity of 21,005. The 2012 modifications included the installation of rail seats for safe standing. The stadium was opened on 28 July 1952, on the grounds of the former Froschberg-Brickworks. The stadium is also known as "Auf der Gugl", the name of the hill on which it is situated. Franz Horr Stadium
The Franz Horr Stadium, formally known as Generali Arena for sponsorship reasons and Viola Park for international matches, is a football stadium in the south of Vienna, Austria. It has been the home ground of FK Austria Wien since 1973. The stadium was built in 1925 as the new home of Czech immigrants' club SK Slovan and had a capacity of 10,850.
