2024 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships
The 2024 British Swimming Championships, Aquatics GB Swimming Championships (sponsored by Speedo) were held at the London Aquatics Centre in London, from 3 April to 8 April 2024. They also doubled as the trials for the Swimming at the 2024 Summer Olympics, 2024 Summer Olympics. They were organised by Aquatics GB, formerly British Swimming and was the first time the event had been held under the new name. The championships did not include the non-Olympic 50 metre sprint events (but included Olympic 50 metre freestyles), and also fully integrated the British Para Swimming Championships in mixed classifications for the first times, with para-swimmers seeking nomination times for the Paralympic Games, although there are no automatic or guaranteed berths. The British Swimming Championships are an annual event organised by British Swimming (the governing body of swimming in the United Kingdom). Luke Thomas Turley (born 24 March 2000) is an English international swimmer. He has represented England at the Commonwealth Games. Biography Turley educated at the University of Bath began his swimming career at the Stevenage Swimming Club before joining the Hatfield Swimming Club. He won double silver behind Daniel Jervis in the 400m and 800m freestyle events at the 2022 British Swimming Championships. In 2022, he was selected for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham where he competed in the men's 400 metre freestyle, finishing in 5th place and the men's 1500 metre freestyle. Luke Greenbank (born 17 September 1997) is an English professional swimmer who specialises in backstroke. A medalist in the 200 metre backstroke at the Olympic Games and the World and European championships, he also swam the first leg in the 2019 World and 2020 European Championship gold medal-winning Great Britain medley relay teams.
