2024 Allsvenskan
The 2024 Allsvenskan will be the 100th season since its establishment in 1924 of Sweden's top-level football league, Allsvenskan. A total of 16 teams will participate. Malmö FF are the defending champions after winning the title in the previous season The 2024 Allsvenskan season begin in April and end in November 2024 (not including play-off matches). Teams A total of sixteen teams are contesting the league, including fourteen sides from the previous season, and two promoted teams from the 2023 Superettan. Allsvenskan
Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide. Allsvenskan is ranked 23rd in the UEFA coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Hammarby IF Fotbollförening, more commonly known as Hammarby Fotboll or Hammarby ( or, especially locally, ), is a Swedish football club from Stockholm founded in 1915. The Stockholmsarenan, known as the Tele2 Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a retractable roof multi-purpose stadium in Stockholm Globe City, Johanneshov, just south of Stockholm City Centre, Sweden. Artificial turf is a surface of synthetic fibers made to look like natural grass. It is most often used in arenas for sports that were originally or are normally played on grass. However, it is now being used on residential lawns and commercial applications as well. The 2023 Superettan was the 24th season of Superettan, Sweden's second-tier football division in its current format. It was part of the 2023 Swedish football season and contested by 16 teams.
