2023–24 Wagner Seahawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Wagner Seahawks men's basketball team represented Wagner College during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seahawks, led by second-year head coach Donald Copeland, played their home games at the Spiro Sports Center in Staten Island, Staten Island, New York as members of the Northeast Conference. They finished the season 17–16, 7–9 in 2023–24 Northeast Conference men's basketball season, NEC play to finish in sixth place. Donald Copeland
Donald Copeland (born February 11, 1984) is an American former basketball player and current coach (basketball), coach. He is the current head coach of the Wagner Seahawks men's basketball team. Playing career Copeland played basketball under Bob Hurley at St. Anthony High School (New Jersey), St. Anthony High School where he helped lead the team to two state titles, while also earning all-state honors in New Jersey. He'd play collegiately at Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball, Seton Hall under Louis Orr, and was named a Second Team All-Big East Conference (1979–2013), Big East selection in his senior season. He was voted Seton Hall’s Senior Male Athlete of the Year. After graduation, Copeland would play professionally for nine seasons across Europe and in Puerto Rico. 2022–23 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 7, 2022. The regular season ended on March 12, 2023, with the 2023 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament beginning with the First Four on March 14 and ending with the championship game at NRG Stadium in Houston on April 3. Rule changes The following rule changes were recommended by the NCAA Basketball Rules Committee to the Playing Rules Oversight Panel for the 2022−23 season: * Flopping will now result in a Class B technical foul. Green Bay Phoenix Men's Basketball
The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Horizon League for the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. They are coached by Doug Gottlieb. The Phoenix have appeared five times in the NCAA tournament, most recently in 2016. History The Green Bay men's basketball team began play in the 1969–70 school year where it competed at the NAIA level before moving to NCAA Division II in 1973. In 1982, it moved to NCAA Division I, where it competed in the Association of Mid-Continent Universities (now the Summit League). Since 1994, Green Bay has competed in the Horizon League (formerly the Midwestern Collegiate Conference). The Saint Joseph's Hawks men's basketball team represents Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
