College Football On CBS
''College Football on CBS Sports'' is the blanket title used for broadcasts of college football games that are produced by CBS Sports, for CBS and CBS Sports Network. CBS has been a television partner with the Southeastern Conference (SEC) since 1996, when the network returned to carrying regular-season college football on a weekly basis during the season. CBS also televises the annual Army-Navy Game. Recently, CBS Sports Network has also begun televising college football from the Mid American Conference, Conference USA and Mountain West Conference, as well as home football games from Army, UConn and Navy. In 2019, CBS declined to renew its rights to SEC football, with the package ultimately going to the conference's main rightsholder ESPN beginning in 2024. CBS subsequently reached a deal to televise Big Ten football beginning in 2023, which will replace CBS's SEC package in its traditional timeslot beginning 2024. 2023 NCAA Division I FBS Football Rankings
Two human polls and a committee's selections comprise the 2023 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) football rankings, in addition to various publications' preseason polls. Unlike most sports, college football's governing body, the NCAA, does not bestow a national championship at the FBS level. Instead, that title is bestowed by one or more different polling agencies. There are two main weekly polls that begin in the preseason—the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll. One additional poll, the College Football Playoff (CFP) ranking, is usually released starting midway through the season. The CFP rankings determine who makes the four-team playoff that determines the College Football Playoff National Champion. 2022 Oregon Ducks Football Team
The 2022 Oregon Ducks football team represented the University of Oregon during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by first-year head coach Dan Lanning. The Ducks played their home games at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, and competed as members of the Pac-12 Conference. The Ducks bid for the Pac 12 Championship would have been clinched if they won on November 26 against Oregon State or if Utah lost to Colorado (which required UCLA to beat California). However, Oregon lost the game, meaning they had to rely on Washington losing to Washington State to avoid a three-way tie between them, Washington (who beat Oregon), and Utah, as the tiebreaker for teams that had mutually beat each other favored Utah, which came to pass when Washington won later that night, allowing Utah to reach the Pac 12 championship. Previous season The 2021 Oregon Ducks football team began the year with three wins out of conference, including the program's first ever win again ...
