2023 NCAA Division I FBS Football Rankings
Two human polls and a committee's selections comprise the 2023 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) football rankings, in addition to various publications' preseason polls. Unlike most sports, college football's governing body, the NCAA, does not bestow a national championship at the FBS level. Instead, that title is bestowed by one or more different polling agencies. There are two main weekly polls that begin in the preseason—the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll. One additional poll, the College Football Playoff (CFP) ranking, is usually released starting midway through the season. The CFP rankings determine who makes the four-team playoff that determines the College Football Playoff National Champion. 2023 Georgia Bulldogs Football Team
The 2023 Georgia Bulldogs football team represented the University of Georgia in the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season as a member of the Southeastern Conference. The team was led by Kirby Smart in his eighth year as Georgia's head coach. The Bulldogs entered this season as the two-time defending consensus national champions. 2023 Florida State Seminoles Football Team
The 2023 Florida State Seminoles football team represented Florida State University in the Atlantic Coast Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Seminoles were led by Mike Norvell, in his fourth year as their head coach. The Seminoles played home games at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. Looking to build on the success of the 2022 season, Florida State started strong with a win against LSU. The Seminoles would go undefeated in the regular season; however, during the game against North Alabama, senior quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending injury, marking the end of his college football career. 2023 North Carolina Tar Heels Football Team
