The 2023 British Swimming Championships were held at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield, from 4 April to 9 April 2023. They also doubled as the trials for the World Championships. They were organised by British Swimming. British Swimming Championships
The British Swimming Championships are an annual event organised by British Swimming (the governing body of swimming in the United Kingdom). History The event is usually held in March or April each year in a long course (50 m) swimming pool, with the results usually acting as selection trials for upcoming international level competitions due to be held in the following summer season. Previously the event was known as the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) National Championships. A list of past winners shows the winners of all disciplines. Luke Greenbank
Luke Greenbank (born 17 September 1997) is an English professional swimmer who specialises in backstroke. A medalist in the 200 metre backstroke at the Olympic Games and the World and European championships, he also swam the first leg in the 2019 World and 2020 European Championship gold medal-winning Great Britain medley relay teams. He won a silver medal as lead-off for Great Britain in the 4 x 100 metre medley relay for men at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He won a gold medal as lead-off for England in the heats of the 4 x 100 metre medley relay for men at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Greenbank has won gold medals as part of the 4 × 100 m Men's Medley Relay at the European, World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Sebastian Somerset (15 January 2001) is a British international swimmer who became the British Champion for the 50 metres backstroke in 2022. He has lived in Canada, Australia and England, and is currently a student at the University of California, Berkeley. Nathan Hughes (swimmer)
Nathan William Jeremy Hughes (born 10 June 1991) is a professional rugby union player who is currently playing in the Japan Rugby League One side Ricoh Black Rams having left Bristol Bears in 2022. Born in Fiji he qualified to play for England on residency and won 22 caps between 2016 and 2019, however due to the amendment in international selection by the WRU, Hughes hopes to participate in the France 2023 RWC for his home nation. He plays as a flanker, a number 8 or at lock. Career In 2009, Hughes was scouted by Athens Henare, the head of the PE department at New Zealand's Kelston Boys' High School, during Kelston's tour of Fiji and went to the school on a partial scholarship. Tobias Patrick Robinson (born 22 August 1996) is an English international swimmer. He has represented England at the Commonwealth Games.
