2022–23 Slovak Cup
The 2022–23 Slovak Cup was the 54th edition of the competition. Spartak Trnava were the defending champions, defeating their rivals Slovan Bratislava in the 2022 final. Spartak Trnava won a second consecutive title, defeating again Slovan in the final. Spartak Trnava earned automatic qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round. Format The Slovak Cup is played as a knockout tournament. All matches that end up as a draw after 90 minutes are decided by penalty shoot-outs. All rounds are played as one-off matches except the semi-finals, which are played over two legs. FC Spartak Trnava () is a Slovak professional Association football, football club based in Trnava. Historically, it is one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won the Czechoslovak First League five times and the Czechoslovak Cup on four occasions, and reaching the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League, European Cup once and the quarter-final twice. AS Trenčín () is a Slovakia, Slovak sports club in the town of Trenčín, most known for its association football, football department. FC Petržalka
FC Petržalka is a Slovak football club based in Bratislava. The club was founded in 1898 and it promoted twice to the top flight 1. liga in the Czechoslovakia during 1980's (for 1981–82 season and 1984–85 season) and spent another 14 consecutive seasons in the Slovak first league from 1996–97 to 2009–10. The biggest international success of Petržalka was participation in the group stage of the 2005–06 UEFA Champions League and Round of 32 of the 2005–06 UEFA Cup. Several years later, after losing its owner a different company took over the piece of land under the club's old home ground Štadión Petržalka for commercial building-up and the stadium was demolished. FC ŠTK 1914 Šamorín
ŠTK 1914 Šamorín is a Slovak football team, based in the town of Šamorín. The club was founded in 1914. In the season 2009/2010, they were promoted to Slovak Third League. In season 2015/16 the club was promoted to the Slovak Second League. History The club was founded on 1 June 1914 (original name in hungarian Somorjai Testgyakorlók Köre). Their first stadium (in Pomlé, Šamorín) was opened in 1930. Their first game in the stadium, against FSV Vienna was a sweet 2–0 victory in front of 1,500 spectators. ŠTK proudly announced that there will be places for more kids to play (Mladsi, Starsi ziaci and Dorast). This has brought a big success, because according to the 2010 statistics, almost 400 kids play football there. FC Baník Prievidza is a Slovak football club, playing in the town of Prievidza. Between 1993 and 2000, Prievidza played in the highest level of Slovak football, the Corgoň liga. FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce – Vráble is a Slovak football team, based in the town of Zlaté Moravce. The club was founded on 22 January 1995. History From the club's establishment in 1995 until 2004, they played in various regional competitions. In 2004 they were promoted to the Slovak Second Division, and then in the 2006–07 season were promoted to the Corgoň Liga, and won the Slovak Cup, beating FC Senec 4–0. This earned them place in the first qualifying round of the 2007–08 UEFA Cup. Zlaté Moravce played their first European match on 19 July 2007 in the UEFA Cup at home against Alma-Ata, winning 3–1.
