2022–23 Eredivisie (women)
The 2022–23 Eredivisie Vrouwen is the thirteenth season of the Netherlands women's professional football league. Twente is the defending champions. The season saw Fortuna Sittard and Telstar enter the league, meaning the league was expanded to include eleven teams. Format The teams Fortuna Sittard and Telstar joined the league, expanding it to eleven teams, with the former being a new team and the latter returning after last playing in the 2016–17 season. Each team will play all of the other teams twice over 22 rounds with each round one team having a bye due to the odd number of teams. 2022–23 Eredivisie
The 2022–23 Eredivisie is the 67th season of Eredivisie, the premier football competition in the Netherlands. It began on 5 August 2022 and will conclude on 28 May 2023. As the 2022 FIFA World Cup will start on 20 November, the last round before stoppage will be held on 12–13 November. The league will resume games on 6 January. Teams FC Emmen (promoted after a one-year absence), FC Volendam (promoted after a thirteen-year absence) and Excelsior (promoted after a three-year absence) were promoted from the 2021–22 Eerste Divisie. PEC Zwolle (relegated after ten years in the top flight), Willem II (relegated after eight years in the top flight) and Heracles Almelo (relegated after seventeen years in the top flight) have been relegated to the 2022–23 Eerste Divisie. PSV Vrouwen (or PSV Women) is a Dutch women's football team representing PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie Vrouwen, the top women's league in the Netherlands. A founding member of the BeNe League in 2012, the team was known as PSV/FC Eindhoven and supported jointly by FC Eindhoven and PSV. Behnam Afas (born 17 July 1934) is an Iraqi-New Zealander author and researcher. His studies are mostly in the role of the Christian scholars and missionaries, their effect on the renaissance of Iraq during the 19th century and the early 20th century. His work is very well respected from all ethnic and religious groups of Iraq. Biography Behnam Fadheel Hanna Afas was born in the city of Mosul (Ninevah) in the northern part of Mesopotamia-Iraq. He is the second of six children of a religious Syriac-Catholic family. His father Fadheel Afas was a merchant in Mosul (Ninevah). The family name came from processing the Gall Nuts and extracting the juice to tan the leather. Heerhugowaard
Heerhugowaard (; West Frisian Dutch: ''Heerhugoweard'', ''Heregeweard'' or ''De Weard'') is a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West Friesland. Heerhugowaard was previously a municipality, which merged with the former municipality of Langedijk into the new municipality of Dijk en Waard on 1 January 2022. History Around the year 800, the area of the modern municipality of Heerhugowaard was covered in peat fen. Because of peat-digging and storm floods many lakes developed in the region, including the Heerhugowaard. Velsen () is a municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is located on both sides of the North Sea Canal. On the north side of the North Sea Canal there is a major steel plant, Tata Steel IJmuiden, formerly known as ''Koninklijke Hoogovens'' (the town of IJmuiden is actually located south of the canal). Alkmaar () is a city and municipality in the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland, about 30 km north of Amsterdam. Alkmaar is well known for its traditional cheese market. Sportcomplex De Toekomst (Dutch for ''Sporting complex The Future'') is a sporting complex in Ouder-Amstel, Netherlands, owned by AFC Ajax N.V. The complex comprises nine football fields and is located close to the Johan Cruyff Arena. Its main field has seating capacity for 2,000 people. Sportpark Nieuw Hanenburg is a cricket ground in The Hague, the Netherlands. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1966 when the Netherlands played Oxford University. Over the next three decades it hosted a number of touring teams, as well as the 1998 European Cricket Championships.
