2022–23 Bangladesh Super Cup
The 2022–23 Bangladesh Super Cup is the 4th edition of the Bangladesh Super Cup, the main domestic annual top tier clubs football tournament organized by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). The six participants will competes in the tournament. Dhaka Mohammedan is the defending champion having defeated Sheikh Russel KC by 1(4)–1(2) goals penalties shoot-out in the final on 25 June 2013. Format Top four teams from the standings of the last season 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League table will play directly while two teams from the rest of the professional football league will come through the qualification round. Bangladesh Super Cup
Super Cup is the highest-budgeted football competition organized by the Bangladesh Football Federation and is one of the two club football season cups in Bangladesh, the other being Federation Cup. It started in 2009. The tournament is currently sponsored by Grameenphone. History The competition kicked off for the first time on Wednesday, 11 March 2009 inaugurated by Citycell's Chief Executive Officer Michel Seamour and the Federation's president Kazi Salahuddin in which Mohammedan Sporting Club became the first champion beating arch-rival Abahani Limited. The prize money for the tournament was $150,000 which is said to be a record in Asia. Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Dhaka, founded in 1936 at Dhaka, is one of the oldest and one of the most popular football clubs in Bangladesh, with a support base in all parts of the country. The club currently plays in the Bangladesh Premier League. History The clubs journey began in Hazaribagh. Members of the famed Nawab family of Dhaka wanted to establish a local club for the youth. As a result, Muslim Sports Club came into being in 1927. Nine years later, with Khwaja M. Sheikh Russel KC
Sheikh Russel KC is a professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League. The club has won the Federation Cup in 2012, which was their first major title. They also won their maiden Bangladesh Premier League title in the season 2012–13. Sayem Sobhan Anvir, managing director of Bashundhara Group, is the chairman of Sheikh Russel KC. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. The 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League, also known as TVS Bangladesh Premier League for sponsorship reasons, was the 14th season of the Bangladesh Premier League since its establishment in 2007. Bashundhara Kings ( bn, বসুন্ধরা কিংস) is a professional football team based in Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka, Bangladesh. They clinched the title of the 2017 Bangladesh Championship League, the second tier of the professional football league, in their maiden appearance. History Inception The club started their football journey with 2016 DCC (N&S) Pioneer League, where they finished the league at 3rd position. The club were promoted to Third Division Football League but they decided to play Bangladesh Championship League, which is the second-tier league of the country, by fulfilling all the conditions to participate.
