2022 Volta A Catalunya
The 2022 Volta a Catalunya was a road cycling stage race that took place between 21 and 27 March 2022. The race took place primarily in the autonomous community of Catalonia in northeastern Spain, with the rest of the route in the department of Pyrénées-Orientales (known as Northern Catalonia) in southern France. It was the 101st edition of the Volta a Catalunya and the seventh race of the 2022 UCI World Tour. Teams All 18 UCI WorldTeams and six UCI ProTeams made up the 24 teams that participated in the race. UCI ProTeam was among the original invitees, but on 1 March 2022, the UCI revoked the licences of Russian and Belarusian teams due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. 2022 UCI World Tour
The 2022 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included thirty-one road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2022 in men's road cycling, 2022 cycling season. The tour started with the 2022 UAE Tour, UAE Tour on 20 February, and concluded with the 2022 Il Lombardia, Il Lombardia on 8 October. Events The 2022 calendar was announced in the autumn of 2021. Cancelled events Due to COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19-related logistical concerns raised by teams regarding travel to Australia (including strict quarantine requirements), the Tour Down Under (18–23 January) and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (30 January) were cancelled. On 8 June 2022, the Benelux Tour (29 August – 4 September) was cancelled due to a pressurised calendar. On 17 June 2022, the Tour of Guangxi (13–18 October) was also cancelled due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Volta A Catalunya
The Volta a Catalunya (; en, Tour of Catalonia, es, Vuelta a Cataluña, link=no) is a road bicycle race held annually in Catalonia, Spain. It is one of three World Tour stage races in Spain, together with the Vuelta a España and the Tour of the Basque Country. The race has had several different calendar dates, running before in September, June and May. Since 2010 it has been on the calendar in late March as part of the UCI World Tour. Raced over seven days, it covers the autonomous community of Catalonia in Northeast Spain and contains one or more stages in the mountain region of the Pyrenees. The race traditionally finishes with a stage in Barcelona, Catalonia's capital, on a circuit with the famous Montjuïc climb and park. Boí Taüll Resort
Boí Taüll Resort () is a ski resort located in the heart of the Pyrenees, in the Vall de Boí, Catalonia (Spain), opened in 1988. The ski area extends from . La Molina (ski Resort)
La Molina is a ski resort in the Pyrenees mountains of northeastern Spain, in the municipality of Alp in the ''comarca'' of Cerdanya in Girona, Catalonia. Together with Masella, it forms the Alp 2500 resort. It is the site of the first ski lift in Spain, opened on 28 February 1943, and Spain's first ski school, which opened a year later. It is served by a RENFE / Rodalies train station. Sport and recreation The area hosted World Cup alpine races in December 2008 (women's technical events) and hosted the Snowboarding World Championships in January 2011. L'Escala
L'Escala (Spanish: ''La Escala'') is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Alt Empordà in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the Costa Brava, located between the southern end of the Gulf of Roses and Cala (bay) Montgó. Sant Feliu De Guíxols
Sant Feliu de Guíxols () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Baix Empordà in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the Costa Brava and is an important port and tourist centre. The district abuts to the north, the upmarket s'Agaró resort built round the Sant Pol Beach. In addition to tourism and the port the cork industry is a traditionally local industry. The town contains a large monastery which now houses the town museum and is a protected historico-artistic monument. 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

The Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) is part of the French media group Éditions Philippe Amaury. It organises the Tour de France and other cycling races, as well as golf, running, sailing and off-road motorsport events.
