2022 UMass Minutemen Football Team
The 2022 UMass Minutemen football team represented the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Minutemen played their home games at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium in Hadley, Massachusetts, and competed as an FBS independent. They were led by sixth-year head coach Don Brown, his first season back coaching the program since the 2008 season. Schedule UMass hosted five home games and traveled to seven different away games during the 2022 season. Don Brown (American Football Coach)
Don Brown (born July 31, 1955) is an American college football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass), a position he held from 2004 to 2008 and resumed prior to the 2022 season. In between his two stints as UMass, Brown was the defensive coordinator at the University of Maryland, College Park, the University of Connecticut, Boston College, the University of Michigan, and the University of Arizona. He served as the head football coach at Plymouth State University from 1993 to 1995 and Northeastern University from 2000 to 2003. Brown was also the interim head baseball coach at Yale University in 1992, tallying a mark of 26–10. The 2022 New Mexico State Aggies football team represented New Mexico State University in the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Aggies played their home games at Aggie Memorial Stadium in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and compete as an FBS independent. They were led by first-year head coach Jerry Kill. Rynearson Stadium
Rynearson Stadium, nicknamed "The Factory", is a stadium in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the Eastern Michigan University Eagles. Currently, the stadium has seating for 30,200 people. Standing room is available in the south end zone, allowing for crowds larger than the listed capacity. The stadium is located on the school's west campus, just south of the Huron River. History The stadium held its first game on September 27, 1969, when EMU upset the University of Akron, 10–3.
