2022 Saville Shoot-Out
The 2022 Saville Shoot-Out was held from September 9 to 11 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The event was held in a round robin format with a $24,000 purse. Jennifer Jones and her team of Karlee Burgess, Mackenzie Zacharias, Lauren Lenentine and Emily Zacharias won the event, capping off a perfect 8–0 weekend by defeating Ontario's Team Rachel Homan, skipped by Tracy Fleury, 5–4 in the event final. The Jones rink opened with a steal of two in the first end which they extended to a three point lead with a steal of one in the fifth. In the seventh, Team Homan tied the score by stealing two points of their own to level the score at four all heading into the final end. There, Jones executed a runback to score the single point and the win. To reach the final, Jones won 9–3 over South Korea's Gim Eun-ji while Homan defeated Alberta's Casey Scheidegger 6–4. Rachel Homan
Rachel Catherine Homan (born April 5, 1989) is a Canadian international curler. Homan is a former Canadian junior champion, a three-time Canadian national champion, and the 2017 world champion, all as a skip. She was also the skip of the Canadian women's curling team at the 2018 Winter Olympics. During her junior career, Homan competed in two Canadian Junior Curling Championships, placing second in 2009 and winning the championship in 2010. She also won a silver medal at the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships. Dezaray Hawes
Dezaray Hawes (born January 23, 1997) is a Canadian curler from Peachland, British Columbia. Career Hawes was the second on Team British Columbia skipped by Sarah Daniels at the 2016 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. The team won a silver medal after losing the final to Nova Scotia's Mary Fay. She returned the following year as second for Corryn Brown where the team went 5–5. Hawes also placed fifth with the Daniels rink in 2015 at the 2015 Canada Winter Games. Hawes won her first World Curling Tour event in 2016 at the Qinghai China Ladies International. She also played in her first Grand Slam of Curling event when she was just 19, the Tour Challenge Tier 2 where her team went 1–3. Erin Pincott
Erin Pincott (born April 17, 1995 in Richmond, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Kamloops. She is the longtime third for Corryn Brown, having played together since they were six years old. Career Junior career Playing for Corryn Brown, Pincott won a gold medal at the 2011 Canada Winter Games for British Columbia after winning the 2010 provincial high school championships and the 2010 BC Winter games gold medal. They represented the province at the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, which they also won. This qualified the team to represent Canada at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships, where they finished with a 3–6 record. The team lost in the finals of the BC Juniors the following year. Corryn Cecile Brown (born July 19, 1995) is a Canadian curler from British Columbia. She currently skips her own team out of Kamloops. Career She was the skip of the winning team at the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, and represented Canada at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships, where she placed 9th. Brown also represented Canada at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics where she won a bronze medal. She also won a gold medal at the 2011 Canada Winter Games. Brown and her team competed once again at the 2015 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, where they won the bronze medal after losing to Ontario in the semi-finals 9–4. Sara Oliver (born July 8, 1996) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg. She currently plays lead on Team Jolene Campbell. She is a former World Mixed Curling Champion. Career Juniors Oliver skipped teams at both the 2014 and 2015 Manitoba Junior Curling Championships going 4–3 in both years, and losing in a tiebreaker in 2015. In 2015, Oliver joined the Abby Ackland junior rink, playing lead on the team. The rink won the 2016 Manitoba Junior Championship, sending the team to the 2016 Canadian Junior Curling Championships to represent Manitoba. The team finished 5–1 through the round robin and tied for third in the championship pool at 7–3. Meghan Walter
Meghan Walter (born February 22, 2002) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She currently plays third on Team Kate Cameron. She is a former World Mixed Curling Champion. Career Walter skipped her own team throughout her junior career, however, struggled to make it out of the province. In 2017, her team of third Sara Oliver, second Morgan Reimer and lead Mackenzie Elias lost the provincial junior final to Shae Bevan. The following year, the team, now with third Erica Wiebe, went undefeated until the final where they lost to the Mackenzie Zacharias rink. Kaitlyn Jones
Kaitlyn Jones (born March 21, 1998) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Career Juniors Born in Thompson, Manitoba, Jones curled out of Chilliwack, British Columbia, New Aiyansh, British Columbia and Ontario before moving to Regina, Saskatchewan, where she competed in Saskatchewan's provincial junior championships in 2015, 2016 and 2017, winning in a provincial title in her last attempt. Selina Witschonke
Selina Witschonke (born December 17, 1998) is a Swiss curler originally from St. Moritz. She currently plays second on Team Silvana Tirinzoni. Career In 2016, Witschonke was named to the Swiss team for the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer. Through the round robin, she led her team of third Henwy Lochmann, second Laura Engler and lead Philipp Hösli to a 6–1 record, finishing second in their pool. They then beat Sweden's Johan Nygren 7–3 in the quarterfinals before dropping the semifinal 7–5 to Canada's Mary Fay. They won the bronze medal with an 11–3 defeat over Russia's Nadezhda Karelina. Ikue Kitazawa
is a Japanese curler from Saku, Nagano. She is the skip of the Chubu Electric Power curling team, which won the Japan Curling Championships in both 2017 and 2019. At the international level, she has represented Japan twice at the World Women's Curling Championship (, ) and the 2019 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, where she won a silver medal.
