Kaitlyn Jones (born March 21, 1998) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Career Juniors Born in Thompson, Manitoba, Jones curled out of Chilliwack, British Columbia, New Aiyansh, British Columbia and Ontario before moving to Regina, Saskatchewan, where she competed in Saskatchewan's provincial junior championships in 2015, 2016 and 2017, winning in a provincial title in her last attempt. Her team of Sara England, Rayann Zerr and Shantel Hutton represented the province at the 2017 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. There, she led her team to a 5–5 record, missing the playoffs. The following season, Jones moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to skip a team of 2016 World Junior champions Kristin Clarke and Karlee Burgess along with Lindsey Burgess. Karlee Burgess
Karlee Burgess (born September 14, 1998) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She currently plays third on Team Jennifer Jones. Career At just 15 years old, Burgess played second for the Mary Fay rink along with, Jenn Smith and Janique LeBlanc and won the 2014 Nova Scotia Junior women's championship. They were the youngest team to win in 20 years., sending the four-some to the 2014 Canadian Junior Curling Championships to represent Nova Scotia. Despite their youth, the team finished with an 8–2 record, making the playoffs. The team would go on to lose to British Columbia, skipped by Kalia Van Osch in the semi-final, winning a bronze medal. Clancy Grandy
Clancy Grandy (born December 27, 1990 in Burlington, Ontario) is a Canadian curler originally from Ontario. She currently skips her own team out of Vancouver, British Columbia. Career Juniors Grandy's junior career was highlighted by winning the 2011 Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships with teammates Sarah Wilkes, Laura Crocker and Lynn Kreviazuk, defeating Jasmin Thurston in the final. The team represented Ontario at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where the finished with a 5-7 record. Later that season, Grandy skipped the Guelph Gryphons University curling team at the 2011 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, finishing with a 2-5 record. Laura Crocker, her junior teammate won the event as the skip for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks. Allison Flaxey
Allison "Alli" Flaxey ( Nimik; born February 13, 1985) is a Canadian curler from Caledon, Ontario. She currently plays third on Team Carly Howard. She is a former Canadian Mixed champion, and World Mixed Doubles bronze medallist. Career Flaxey is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a junior, she won the Manitoba Junior championships at the age of 15 in 2001 with teammates Kristin Loder, Lindsay Titheridge and Elisabeth Peters. The team finished with a 4–8 record at the 2001 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Flaxey began curling competitively playing second for Shauna Streich. As a resident of Manitoba, she won the 2009 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship (held in Autumn 2008), playing third for Sean Grassie. Chelsea Carey
Chelsea Danielle Carey (born September 12, 1984 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She is the 2016 and 2019 Canadian and Alberta women's champion skip and 2014 Manitoba provincial women's champion skip. Career Earlier career Carey curled in six provincial junior championships, but did not win the event. She did win the 2000 Juvenile Provincial championship which she followed up with a silver medal at the 2001 Canadian Juvenile championship. She was also the Manitoba high school provincial champion in 2002. Carey has won a number of World Curling Tour (WCT) events including the 2005 Manitoba Lotteries Wheat City Curling Classic, the 2006 Interlake Pharmacy Classic (playing third for Barb Spencer in both events), and the Interlake Pharmacy Classic again in 2009, culminating with winning the 2009 Manitoba Curling Tour Championship. Truro (Mi'kmaq: ''Wagobagitik''; Scottish Gaelic: ''Truru'') is a town in central Nova Scotia, Canada. 2018 Masters (curling)
The 2018 Canadian Beef Masters was held from October 23 to 28, at the Rath Eastlink Arena in Truro, Nova Scotia. This was the second Grand Slam and first major of the 2018–19 curling season. Grand Slam (curling)
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. World Curling Tour
The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery.
