2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference
The 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference was the twelfth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (''39th conference of the former Shakey's V-League'') and its third conference as a professional league. The tournament began on July 9, 2022. Originally slated for the July 2, the tournament was pushed back due to the requests of the club teams. This is the first (''second for the former SVL'') conference of the league to commence an invitational conference. A total of eight teams will compete in this event, including one international team — KingWhale Taipei from Taiwan. The BaliPure Purest Water Defenders and F2 Logistics begged off from joining the conference. A second guest team, Kobe Shinwa University, was supposed to join the semi-final round but backed out at the last minute. Philippine Army Lady Troopers
The Philippine Army Lady Troopers, also known as the Black Mamba–Army Lady Troopers for sponsorship reasons, is the official women's professional volleyball team of the Philippine Army. The team is composed of enlisted personnel and reinforced with civilian players from time to time. The Lady Troopers competes in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and has won two Shakey's V-League (predecessor of the PVL) championships. History The Lady Troopers were the first champion in the Philippine Superliga (PSL), winning all two conferences of the inaugural season. Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis (born December 13, 1987) is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. Isabel Beatriz "Bea" Paras de Leon (born August 2, 1996) is a Filipino professional volleyball player who currently plays for the club team Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the PVL. She played for the Ateneo Lady Eagles in the UAAP for five straight years and on her final year, led her team to its third championship and was named the UAAP Season 81 Finals MVP. The Choco Mucho Flying Titans is a professional women's volleyball team playing in the Premier Volleyball League. The team is owned by the Republic Biscuit Corporation. The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL.
