2022 Formula Regional Indian Championship
The 2022 Formula Regional Indian Championship was to be a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across India. This would have been the inaugural season of the championship, and also the first FIA-sanctioned championship held in India, together with its support series, the F4 Indian Championship. Teams and drivers Drivers would have been competing with Alfa Romeo-powered Tatuus F3 T-318 cars run by Prema Powerteam. Race calendar The original 2022 calendar was announced on 19 August 2021, planned to be held over five three-race weekends in February and March of 2022. However, in January 2022, the season was postponed until November because of the pandemic's resurgence. In March of 2022, a new provisional calendar was announced. 2022 F4 Indian Championship
F4 Indian Championship is a single-seater motorsport series based in India. The series is run to the FIA's Formula 4 regulations and organized by Racing Promotions Pvt Ltd. The inaugural season will be held in 2023. The winner of the series earns the right to compete in the next season of Formula Regional Indian Championship for free. History Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of the Formula 4 was to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. Besides sporting and technical regulations, costs are also regulated. A car to compete in this category may not exceed €30,000 and a single season in Formula 4 May not exceed €100,000. Buddh International Circuit
The Buddh International Circuit ( hi, बुद्ध अंतरराष्ट्रीय परिपथ) is an Indian motor racing circuit situated in National Capital Region at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The track shares its name with Gautama Buddha, as does the district the track is located in. The track was officially inaugurated on 18 October 2011. Hyderabad Street Circuit is a street circuit laid out on the city streets of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Formula Regional (FR) is an FIA-approved moniker for certified regional one-make Formula Three championships with the concept being approved during the FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting in December 2017. The first series under new regulations were launched in Asia and North America in 2018, followed by European counterpart in 2019 and Japanese in 2020. Prema Powerteam (competing as Prema Racing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the FIA Formula 3 Championship and European Le Mans Series and as Prema Orlen Team in the FIA World Endurance Championship) is a motorsport team from Italy. Tatuus is an Italian chassis manufacturer for a series of formula racing series, being first founded in 1980. The company is known for its association with Renault Sport for its production of the Formula Renault chassis. History The Tatuus company was founded by Artico Sandonà in 1980. The first cars were manufactured for the 500cc and 1000cc Formula Monza championship. Founder Sandona was one of the drivers in the Formula Monza championship.
