2022 Campeonato Catarinense
The 2022 Campeonato Catarinense (officially the Catarinense Fort Atacadista 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 97th season of Santa Catarina's top-flight football league organized by FCF. The season began on 22 January and ended on 2 April 2022. Avaí were the defending champions but were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The finals were played between Brusque and Camboriú. Tied 1–1 on aggregate, Brusque won their second title due to having a better performance in the first stage. Format The tournament was contested between 12 teams, who first played in a single round-robin tournament. In the first stage, the bottom two teams were relegated to next year's Série B. The final stage was played on a home-and-away two-legged basis. Champions and runners-up qualified for the 2023 Copa do Brasil, while three teams qualified for the 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D. The Campeonato Catarinense de Futebol, known as Campeonato Catarinense or simply Catarinense, is the main competition of association football from state of Santa Catarina, in Brazil. History The Campeonato Catarinense top level has had several different names since it started. From its first edition, in 1924, to 1985, it was called just Campeonato Catarinense (Santa Catarina Championship). From 1986 to 2003, it was named Campeonato Catarinense Primeira Divisão (Santa Catarina Championship Premier Division). Eduardo Barroca
Eduardo de Souza Ney Barroca (born 22 April 1982) is a Brazilian professional football coach. Career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Barroca started his career aat Flamengo in 2000, working as a fitness coach of the under-13 squad. In 2003 he moved to Madureira, being appointed assistant coach. Barroca's first coaching experience occurred with Sendas in 2007, as he was in charge of the under-17s; the following year, he was named first team coach. In 2009, he joined Pão de Açúcar EC as an assistant. In January 2011, after a short stint as Corinthians' under-17 head coach, Barroca joined Bahia, working as Rogério Lourenço's assistant. Chapecó
Chapecó () is a municipality in the state of Santa Catarina, in the Southern Region of Brazil. Being a major industrial, financial and educational center, it is a major producer of industrialized food products. Luan Carlos Neto (born 21 May 1992), known as Luan Carlos, is a Brazilian football coach, currently the head coach of Goianésia. Camboriú
Camboriú is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the states of Brazil, state of Santa Catarina (state), Santa Catarina in the South Region, Brazil, South region of Brazil, near Balneario Camboriu, a popular beach destination. Wagner Santos de Souza Dias (born 23 July 1973), known as Waguinho Dias or simply Waguinho, is a Brazilian football coach and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current head coach of Ipatinga.
