2021–22 Pro50 Championship
The 2021–22 Pro50 Championship was the twentieth edition of the Pro50 Championship, a List A cricket tournament that was played in Zimbabwe. It started on 11 November 2021, with five teams taking part. Rhinos were the defending champions. The match between Eagles and Mountaineers, scheduled to be played on 9 December 2021, was postponed after four players tested positive for COVID-19. Mountaineers won their penultimate group match, to join Rocks in the final of the tournament. In the final, Mountaineers beat Rocks by 71 runs to win the tournament. Zimbabwe Cricket
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. It also organises domestic cricket, including the Castle Logan Cup, the Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship and the Stanbic Bank 20 Series in Zimbabwe. Charlton Tshuma
Charlton Tshuma (born 19 April 1993) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his List A debut for Matabeleland Tuskers in the 2018–19 Pro50 Championship on 23 February 2019. He made his Twenty20 debut for Matabeleland Tuskers in the 2018–19 Stanbic Bank 20 Series on 14 March 2019. In January 2020, he was named in Zimbabwe's Test squad for their series against Sri Lanka, but he did not play. The following month, he was again named in Zimbabwe's Test squad, this time for their one-off Test against Bangladesh. He made his Test debut for Zimbabwe, against Bangladesh, on 22 February 2020. Wesley Madhevere
Wesley Nyasha Madhevere (born 4 September 2000) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in March 2020. Career Madhevere made his List A debut on 8 February 2020, for Mashonaland Eagles in the 2019–20 Pro50 Championship. Prior to his List A debut, he was named as the vice-captain of Zimbabwe's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Craig Ervine
Craig Richard Ervine (born 19 August 1985) is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in limited overs matches. Ervine is a left-handed batter. He was born in Harare and has played Test and limited overs cricket for the Zimbabwe national cricket team and first-class cricket for a variety of Zimbabwean sides in the Logan Cup. Regis Chakabva
Regis Wiriranai Chakabva (born 20 September 1987) is a Zimbabwean cricketer and vice-captain of the team in all formats of the game. He is a right-handed wicket-keeper batter. He played through school-level cricket and started making his mark as a good batter with sound wicket-keeping abilities. He got picked to play for Zimbabwe. Kwekwe ( ), known until 1983 as Que Que, is a city in the Midlands province of central Zimbabwe. Kwekwe Sports Club
The Kwekwe Sports Club in Kwekwe is the home ground of one of Zimbabwe's four provincial cricket sides, Mid West Rhinos. Duckworth–Lewis–Stern Method
The Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method (DLS) is a mathematical formulation designed to calculate the target score (number of runs needed to win) for the team batting second in a limited overs cricket match interrupted by weather or other circumstances. The method was devised by two English statisticians, Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis (mathematician), Tony Lewis (not to be confused with former cricketer Tony Lewis), and was formerly known as the Duckworth–Lewis method (D/L). It was introduced in 1997, and adopted officially by the ICC in 1999. Takudzwanashe Kaitano (born 15 June 1993) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in July 2021.
