2021–22 ICE Hockey League Season
The 2021–22 ICE Hockey League season begin on 16 September 2021. The league's title sponsor was bet-at-home.com. The defending champions were EC KAC. On 11 April 2022, EC Red Bull Salzburg won the Austrian Hockey Championship for the 7th time in their history. Austrian Hockey League
The ICE Hockey League (International Central European Hockey League), known as the win2day ICE Hockey League for sponsorship reasons, is a Central European hockey league that also serves as the top-tier ice hockey league in Austria, it currently features additional teams from Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. The league was known as the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL) from 2003 until 2020 and as the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League during the 2021-22 season. Until 2005–06, the league consisted solely of Austrian teams. HC Pustertal Wölfe
HC Pustertal Wölfe – Val Pusteria Wolves are an Italian professional ice hockey team from Bruneck, currently playing, as of the 2021–22 season, in the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). They formerly played in the Alps Hockey League and Serie A. Team history The team was founded in 1954 as "EV Bruneck MAK" and played the first season in the Serie B in 1966. They won the championship in 1967–68 and 1968–69, but could not move up to the Seria A because their stadium was unfit for the top series. In 1971–72 they won the B championship and in 1972–73 they entered the Serie A for the first time. The ''Wolves'' played in Serie A for nearly thirty years in a row. The best results they achieved were second place in the 1981–82 season and third place in 1980–81. The Steinbach Black Wings Linz are a member of the Austrian Hockey League. They play their home games in Linz, Austria at the Keine Sorgen EisArena. History The EHC Black Wings Linz was founded in 1992. After several years in the Austrian minor leagues 2000 the Black Wings started in the highest league Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. The club was founded in 1999 after the previous club, EHC Graz, folded prior to the 1998–99 season due to financial difficulties.
