2021 Taini Jamison Trophy Series
The 2021 Taini Jamison Trophy Series, also known as the 2021 Cadbury Netball Series, was the 12th Taini Jamison Trophy series. It featured New Zealand playing England in three netball test matches, played in September 2021. All three tests were played at Christchurch Arena. New Zealand won the opening test 48–42. However, England won the series 2–1 after winning the final two tests, 55–45 and 49–45 respectively. In both the second and third tests, England launched second half comebacks before emerging as winners. It was the first time that England had won a series in New Zealand and the first time they won the Taini Jamison Trophy. The England team were coached by Jess Thirlby and captained by Serena Guthrie. Australia National Netball Team
The Australia national netball team, also known as the Australian Diamonds, represent Netball Australia in international netball tournaments such as the INF Netball World Cup, the Commonwealth Games, the Constellation Cup, the Netball Quad Series and the Fast5 Netball World Series. Joanne Elizabeth Harten (born 21 March 1989) is a former England netball international. She was a member of the England team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She also sits on the board of the Australian Netball Players’ Association. In 2020 she received an for her services to netball. Natalie Metcalf (née Haythornthwaite; born 9 December 1992) is an English netball player. She was part of the England squad that won gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Metcalf played for Manchester Thunder and Wasps Netball in the English Superleague, winning consecutive premierships with the Wasps in 2017 and 2018. Coaching Staff
The coaching staff is a group of non-athletes tied to a sports team. A coaching staff can be existent at all levels of athletics. It is led by a head coach (known as a manager or senior coach in some sports) and consists of one or more assistant coaches, physicians, massage therapists, Athletic trainers, equipment managers, nutritionists and others, all required to pass training courses for reliability. It has been suggested that when there is an upbeat and positive coaching staff with healthy relationships with the athletes, the outcome and experience of the team as a whole will benefit overall. Grace Nweke is a New Zealand netball international. She first competed for New Zealand in September 2021, becoming the fourth person of African descent to play for the team, following in the footsteps of Irene Van Dyk, Leana de Bruin and Karin Burger, all born in South Africa. Early life Grace Nweke was born in Auckland on 7 February 2002, to parents who emigrated to New Zealand from Nigeria. She has a twin brother and four other siblings.
