Stacey Francis-Bayman
Stacey Francis-Bayman ( Francis, born 1 January 1988) is a former England netball international. She was a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. At club level she has played for both Team Bath and Yorkshire Jets in the Netball Superleague, for Canterbury Tactix in the ANZ Championship and for West Coast Fever in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2005–06 and 2013 she was a prominent member of the Team Bath squad as they won five Superleague titles. She played in the 2010 and 2013 grand finals and in both 2011 and 2013 she was named the Netball Superleague Player of the Season. In 2017 she was inducted into the University of Bath/Team Bath Hall of Fame for Sport. 2011 World Netball Championships
The 2011 World Netball Championships was the 13th edition of the INF Netball World Cup, a quadrennial premier event in international netball. It was held in Singapore from 3–10 July. All 48 matches were played at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Singapore was chosen as the host nation at the 2007 IFNA Congress in Auckland. Sixteen nations contested the week-long tournament. Ten nations gained selection for the World Championships in five regional qualifying tournaments held from 2010–11; the top five national teams from the 2007 tournament also qualified, along with host nation Singapore. The teams were divided into four pools, in which teams played every other team once. 2011 Netball Superleague Season
The 2011 Netball Superleague season (known for sponsorship reasons as the FIAT Netball Superleague) was the sixth season of the Netball Superleague. The league was won by Hertfordshire Mavericks. In the grand final Hertfordshire Mavericks defeated Surrey Storm. For the first time, the season was completed in a single calendar year, starting on 22 January and concluding on 9 June with the grand final. Fiat Group Automobiles became the Netball Superleague's new sponsor. Teams Regular season Hertfordshire Mavericks finished top of the table during the regular season after winning 14 games, losing just one game all season. Mavericks confirmed their place at the top of the table after a win and a draw during the final weekend of the regular season. 2013 Netball Superleague Grand Final
The 2013 Netball Superleague Grand Final featured Team Bath and Celtic Dragons. Team Bath secured their fifth Netball Superleague title in eight years with a victory over Dragons. Dragons, who were playing their first grand final won the second quarter by two points to lead 31–30 at half-time. However Team Bath fought back and entered the final quarter with a two-point advantage at 46–44. Although Dragons kept themselves in the game with three successive goals, Team Bath stretched clear in the final two minutes to win it. 2010 Netball Superleague Grand Final
The 2010 Netball Superleague Grand Final featured Team Bath and Hertfordshire Mavericks. Having previously played each other in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 grand finals, this was the fourth final that featured Team Bath and Mavericks. Just like the three previous encounters, it was Team Bath that emerged as winners. Mavericks won the first quarter and remained competitive throughout the whole match. Towards the end of the second quarter, Pamela Cookey sank a shot that saw Team Bath take the lead for the first time. By half time Team Bath were leading 22–21 and at the three-quarter mark they led 36–33. However during the fourth quarter Mavericks drew level, with the scores at 37–37, before Team Bath pulled away to win by 51–44. The grand final was broadcast live on Sky Sports for the first time. Suncorp Super Netball is the top level netball league featuring teams from Australia. In 2017 it replaced the ANZ Championship, which also included teams from New Zealand, as the top level netball league in Australia. ANZ Championship
The ANZ Championship, also known as the Trans-Tasman Netball League, is a former netball league featuring teams from both Australia and New Zealand. Between 2008 and 2016, it was the top-level league in both countries. The competition was owned and administered by Trans-Tasman Netball League Ltd (TTNL), a joint venture between Netball Australia and Netball New Zealand. It was effectively a merger of Australia's Commonwealth Bank Trophy and New Zealand's National Bank Cup. Its main sponsor was the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group. Netball Superleague
The Netball Super League is a top level netball league featuring teams from the United Kingdom. The league is organised by England Netball but features teams based in England, Wales and Scotland. The league was commenced playing at the 2005–06 season, replacing the Super Cup as the elite netball competition in England. Since 2016 the league has been sponsored by VitalityHealth and, as a result, it is also known as the Vitality Netball Superleague. Historically the league's most successful teams are Team Bath, who have won five titles, and the Mavericks, who have played in seven grand finals. 2012 Fast5 Netball World Series
The 2012 Fast5 Netball World Series was the fourth staging of the annual World Netball Series, and the first to be played under the new Fast5 rules, which replaced the older fastnet rules introduced in 2009. The tournament was held at Vector Arena in Auckland, the first time it had moved from its previous host nation England. 2011 World Netball Series
The 2011 World Netball Series was the third edition of the World Netball Series, an annual international netball competition held under Fastnet (netball), fastnet rules. The 2011 event was held in Liverpool, England, which also hosted the event in 2010. The tournament was contested by the top six national netball teams from the previous year, according to the IFNA World Rankings. At the end of the preliminary round-robin matches, Australia, England, Jamaica and New Zealand progressed to the semi-finals, while South Africa and Fiji contested the 5th/6th place playoff match. England and New Zealand advanced to the final, with Australia eventually finishing third. In the final match of the tournament, England defeated New Zealand by 33–26 to claim their first gold medal in a major netball tournament.
