2013 Netball Superleague Grand Final
The 2013 Netball Superleague Grand Final featured Team Bath and Celtic Dragons. Team Bath secured their fifth Netball Superleague title in eight years with a victory over Dragons. Dragons, who were playing their first grand final won the second quarter by two points to lead 31–30 at half-time. However Team Bath fought back and entered the final quarter with a two-point advantage at 46–44. Although Dragons kept themselves in the game with three successive goals, Team Bath stretched clear in the final two minutes to win it. The 2013 Netball Superleague season was the eighth season of the Netball Superleague. The league was won by Team Bath who defeated Celtic Dragons in the grand final. 2013 used a three phases format similar to 2012. Team Bath (netball) Matches
TeamBath is the University of Bath's sporting organisation. In addition to entering teams in BUCS intervarsity competitions, TeamBath has also entered teams in national leagues and competitions. Team Bath F.C. reached the first round proper of the 2002–03 FA Cup. They become the first university team to reach this stage since Oxford University A.F.C. in 1880. In 2005–06 the netball team were both founder members and the inaugural champions of the Netball Superleague. They were Superleague champions again in 2006–07, 2008–09, 2009–10 and 2013. Netball is a ball sport played on a court by two teams of seven players. It is among a rare number of sports which have been created exclusively for female competitors. The sport is played on indoor and outdoor netball courts and is specifically played in schools. Netball is most popularly played in Commonwealth nations. A common misunderstanding of the sport's origins has resulted in the mistaken belief that netball was created to prevent women from playing basketball. Chelsea Lewis (born 24 November 1993) is a Wales netball international. She represented Wales at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups and at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. Nia Jones
Nia Jones (born 6 April 1992) is an athlete who represents Wales internationally at both netball and football. She won the FAW Young Player of the Year Award in 2011. She was nominated for the SportingWales Magazine and UWIC Rising Star Award in 2013. Early and personal life Jones was born in Wrexham. Yasmin Parsons (born 13 July 1993) is an English netball player who plays for England and for the Surrey Storm in the positions of centre or wing attack. She was appointed as the captain of the national team for the 2019 European Netball Championship which was held in September 2019 in Belfast where England were crowned as the winners. Stacey Francis-Bayman ( Francis, born 1 January 1988) is a former England netball international. Serena Monique Guthrie (born 5 January 1990) is a former netball player from Jersey who played internationally for England. She played in the Centre, Wing Attack and Wing Defence positions. She was a dynamic player, known for her speed and athleticism, with a keen eye for the intercept.
